‘Echoes of Existence’ honours Chook’s roots, beginning with ethereal pads and layered synthesis that transition into rolling drum sequences, sci-fi soundscapes, funk-groove bass lines and silky smooth production that reflect the darker aspects of his style. This blend of elements showcases the complexity of Chook’s genius production, taking listeners on a futuristic journey of sound and funk in his unique and masterful way.

Evolution Chamber is honoured to welcome Akrom to the imprint with his debut single 'The Last Day / Medjay'.

Since his first release in 2015, Akrom has become synonymous with heavy dancefloor-oriented Drum & Bass. He has released music on some of the scene's most prestigious labels, including Blackout and the late Optiv's Red Light & C4C, as well as collaborating with artists such as IHR, Myselor, and Disphonia. Now embarking on a new direction by implementing his musical skills into his compositions, it was inevitable that he would pique the attention of Evolution Chamber, leading to his debut release on the label.

'The Last Day' sees Akrom team up with the exceptional vocalist and fellow Italian Martina May. With a subtle but euphoric pad intro, later accompanied by Martina May's vocals, don't be fooled by the track's calm and airy beginning as it progresses into an intense dancefloor onslaught that will leave the listener begging for mercy. The flip side sees Akrom apply his musical prowess to deliver 'Medjay,' a track that takes no prisoners from the outset as it weaves through a treacherous, yet progressive and rhythmic journey into the next phase of Akrom's sound. 

This release marks a new chapter for both Evolution Chamber and Akrom in the first of what we hope will be many more to come.

Trex is a London based artist that has established himself as one of the most exciting producers within Drum & Bass of late, having released on Metalheadz, Critical,  Sofa Sound, Audio Porn, Dispatch and his own label Trust Audio.

In recent times his work is played and listened to by peers and listeners across the spectrum of D&B. Remixing DJ Zinc ‘Bubble’ and releasing his second album ‘Fifteen Doors’ on Randalls Mac2 Recordings in 2020 were landmark moments for Trex, cementing his reputation as one of the most versatile and technically gifted producers out there.

Trex has been very prolific throughout 2021/22/23  with a bunch of exciting remixes and releases on Critical, Spearhead and Ram and some big hitting Trust releases to boot. He rounded off 2022 by winning the coveted Dub Wars season 4 production event. The last few years are proving to be just as fruitful with releases on mau5trap, Overview and Darkmttr in the offing with his coveted DJ sets also in huge demand.

As night fell upon the city, the oppressive slate grey clouds that had hovered above the skyline for days took on an echo of its luminosity, their undersides turning a distinctive pinkish color that illuminated the otherwise moonless night with an otherwordly glow. As the neon lights that guided the citizens who did business beneath the night shone on, high atop a fog-veiled corporate tower the final page of a pillaged tome turned in the hands of an avaricious businessman, who uttered the ancient words that lay upon the page even as it crumbled at his touch. “Kiramiji…Akasham… Anayantu…” he muttered, entranced as his final words slipped from his mouth as the book’s ancient prophecy became as foretold. Instantly exsanguinated, his oxidized blood rushed through the tower’s crowning skylights in a torrent and upwards into the sky as their vital energies set the winds of a divine storm in motion.

Emerging then from the swirling vortex of crimson-tinged cumulonimbus clouds came a guttural and otherworldly utterance that struck like a sledgehammer against the glass panes of the city’s construction before being followed by the scarlet tentacles of a forgotten horror long since sealed. Though gargantuan in size, their suction-cupped tendrils seemed almost sensitive to the minute movements of the humans that struggled within their grasp, almost playful as the thousand teeth of each cupped limb sucked the blood from their bodies and discarded their desiccated corpses upon the streets below. Such an ancient evil was this that it exuded a malign and rapacious consciousness in its unending hunger, as for aeons none had seen such horrors as the RED SKY unleashed.

Word of this devastation reached the ears of Ean - Dragon Slayer, a legendary protector whose name echoed through the annals of the realm. Known for his unmatched courage and skill in battling mythical beasts, Ean was whispered to possess the strength of a thousand men and the determination of a lion.

Driven by a profound sense of duty, he embarked on a perilous quest to the capital, where the dragon's wrath had been most fiercely felt. As he ascended the treacherous slopes of Mount Bas, the sight that greeted him was one of utter devastation.

The once-magnificent city lay in ruins, its grandeur replaced by a haunting emptiness. Buildings crumbled, their vibrant colors faded to a dull gray. The streets, once filled with life and laughter, were now eerily silent, save for the mournful cries of those who had lost everything.

Undeterred, Ean pressed on, his heart heavy with sorrow but his resolve unwavering. He knew that Stregoi, the fearsome dragon, must be vanquished if the realm was to be saved from its tyrannical rule.

With a deep breath, Ean prepared himself for the ultimate battle, his sword gleaming in the fading light. The fate of the realm rested on his shoulders, and he was determined to emerge victorious, no matter the cost.

The seekers exchanged nods, each feeling the gravity of their resolve. The Celestial's words lingered in the air, a reminder of their immense responsibility.

THE SEEKER "So, what are our options?" one seeker asked, looking directly at the Celestial. "We need a starting point."
The Celestial's eyes seemed to pierce through layers of reality. "There are three paths before you: the Path of Knowledge, the Path of Unity, and the Path of Sacrifice. Choose wisely, for each decision will alter your journey."
The seekers felt a chill. The weight of the decision was palpable, but so was their determination.

THE SEEKER "We need to understand each path," another seeker said. "Celestial, tell us more."

The Celestial extended its hand, and three holographic images appeared.

The first image showed an ancient library. "The Path of Knowledge will uncover secrets long buried, but knowledge can be both a gift and a curse."

The second image depicted a bustling city. "The Path of Unity involves seeking allies and forging bonds. Unity is fragile and can be easily broken."

The third image was of a desolate battlefield. "The Path of Sacrifice demands the highest price, but through it, you may achieve great victories."

The seekers stood in silence, absorbing their choices. Each path had its allure and dangers.
