The ever-evolving sounds of Bungle return to Scientific Records with his latest offering, the "Arise EP." Following the success of his previous EP, "Forms," the São Paulo-based maestro delivers yet another batch of high-octane drum & bass cuts, perfectly engineered for the dancefloor. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and ability to create immersive soundscapes, Andre Sobota—better known to the house and downtempo world as himself—proves once again that his versatility in production knows no bounds.
The EP opens with the title track, "Arise," an atmospheric roller that harks back to the vibes of "Forms." With its tight, snappy drums and deep, driving basslines layered with ethereal pads, this track is a dancefloor gem, designed to lift spirits and keep feet moving.

The 23rd release on Scientific is the second part of the Techmosphere series. To give you some idea of what to expect, the term “techmospherics” was used by ASC to describe the sound he was pushing back in the days of the infamous Covert Operations label. It’s all about the classic sound of the more techy side of atmospheric drum & bass, and the series aims to expose the present take on this legendary style.

The album will take you on an exciting journey through a very rich palette of various hues of atmospheric drum & bass. This astral ride will come with a range of attractions, including Bungle’s dreamlike breakbeat-oriented “Forgiven”, Future Engineers’ powerful rolling remix of Mav’s “Northern Lights”, Deskai’s quick-paced and underwater-like “Earth”, or Parhelia’s “Is this a Hologram” packed with strong percussion programming, deep bassline and fairy-tale background features. 

You will also come across some lighter accents here and there, featured in the form of Eugenics Eight’s subtle roller entitled “Flowers”, Seathasky’s vocal and guitar sample driven “Clarity”, or Thesis’ relaxing “Renaissance”.

“Techmosphere .02” offers some exploration of the deeper and more experimental side of the techmospheric shade of d’n’b as well. Sit back and let yourself be taken for a smooth ride accompanied by Radicall’s deep, progressive “Darkroom”, or stimulate your mind listening to Operon’s slightly leftield-ish broken-structured “The Machine”, or two tracks paying an excellent tribute to the atmo-jungle era: “Love and the Devil” by Fushara and “Gyroscope” by Entama.

All in all, the content of the album is a perfect treat for all those who have remained fond of the gentler, less dancefloor-oriented, but still exciting and energy-packed kind of drum & bass – one ideal for a longer car ride, but also for a way longer space travel.

Having made their first appearance on Scientific Records in 2017 with a brilliant remix of Naibu’s epic “Turn Me Down” track, released on the “Case Study remix EP”, Hiddenwave immediately set a name for themselves. The Russian duo is now back with their long-awaited debut album “Noir”. The album kicks off with a brilliant, deep and fast-paced drum&bass track sharing the same name as the album title, followed up by legendary Future Engineers’ heavy remix of “Kick”. “Voices” is another great, deep drum&bass track that will definitely move your feet on the dancefloor. From the next track “Up All Night” all the way through to the last track on the album called “Visualise”, Hiddenwave takes the listener onto an extensive journey through outer space, featuring a combination of complex, experimental rhythm work, combined with deep synth melodies, heavy basses and trippy vocals. Nobbing on the foward motion of breakbeats you begin to understand Tiggnacious beginnings of future records many of which were born of San Francisco and surrounding cities...Hardkiss Bros..Wicked Crew....Hawke...then deeper yet to enjoy Rabbit in the Moon....Bringing Drum and Bass into the fold, my favorite, we revert into oblivion minding the the sacred past with respect to old school cats of Rap funky legends Eric B. and Rakim{Paid in Full} and other suprises to encounter....Keep the BASS UP....And get Tiggitty in your Brain......Sorry for the breaks in the mix I need to polish those out and will someday.....all mixes recorded live, no practice of set, just a lot of collecting listening, and recently in the last 9 months understanding a bit about the Denon DJ Prime 4....Having fun...Dreaming in Sounds.... Wishing Out Sonic Waves Blended in a Surreal Imagination..... Tiggination Salute!
