Yet another older track of mine that I have chosen to revisit and improve while at it.
Original track was supposed to appear in OxygenStar's "FM is for the people Vol2" but it never materialised...
I beefed up the percussion and changed couple smaller aspects of the overall sound. I am really really pleased with the results :)

Bass, brass and the chords are FM, lead is the lovely PSG. Drums are bunch of samples :P

Be sure to download the FLAC from download button, the cymbals are messed up by SC...

Something very very very old, but still really good !
Rearrangement of Bridge Zone theme of Sonic1 on Master System, done on MD using my old sound tools.
This is a real hardware recording too, using the sound mod I created years ago ~~~~~

This is something I have been slowly working on, not yet completed (the last bits are kinda empty) but I have been sitting on it for a while now so better post it hahaha.

Fennec Inspired Me ~ (WiP)

Past few days I have been prototyping a synthesizer that I call Phase Adjustment Synth which is a take on Yamaha's FM but with my own twists.

 This here is a little fun thing that I accidentally made when I set a really fast LFO setting... guess what, that is how John Chowning discovered FM in the first place hahahahaha. This is so awesome, you can say I am following the footsteps of one of my heroes <3

 I actually haven't yet added actual intended synthesis features yet but it is pretty good to know that I can actually make the LFO turn a simple sound (in this case a quartersine) into something whole lot more interesting lol.

 I still got a lot of work left to do, one thing I'm really proud of is my ADSR envelope generator with linear, logarithmic and reverse logarithmic slopes selectable per state and I can get some really smooth and long envelopes out of it without any heavy math at all :D Longest envelope state is almost 6 minutes long, around 11 minute sound possible with non infinite envelope settings hahahahaha.
 I'm gonna have so much fun with this stuff once I have the actual synthesis parts added to it and this stuff sits nicely inside an FPGA ~

This is basically enhanced Mega Drive, YM2612+PSG and whole bunch of drums that maybe 32X could do. Bass, melody and backing is 100% YM2612, chords come from the Sega VDP PSG and drums are Yamaha YMF719 !
Music is made with Wavemelon Träkker, with some edits done in Cool Edit Pro 2.0.

Holy carp the cat composed !

Actually this track is a test of a small utility I wrote to generate basic waveforms with variable parameters.
Percussion is made from a white noise sample, bass is combination of sawtooth and low duty cycle square, chords are also squares, melody is clipped triangle and squares.

Samples made with Tiido's Kickäss Wave Generator and tracked with WaveMelon Träkker ~

I was gotta dedicate whole day before the deadline of Winter Chip XII on this tune but then 2 hours before the deadline I discover that holy fuck I completely forgot about the battle and quickly set out to do something and this is what happened ! I really wish I had few more hours to work on it hahaha

Melody and bass are YM2612, drums are 4 channels of 8bit PCM.

Another tune testing out my basic waveform generator ! Half the stuff is made with sawteeth, some squarewaves of varying duty cycles and a bit of FM for bass and that twangy sound. There's actually some PSG used too for chords in the last parts.

I started 12 hours before deadline, wasted bunch of them on nothing... If I hadn't wasted some oft hose hours I'd have a little bit more beef in the empty parts, plus I would have used bunch more channels (there's like 8 unused channels).

Mix of Mega Drive and luscious PCM, made in WaveMelon Träkker. Some EQ added in Cool Edit Pro 2.0.

A week ago I ended up with this in about 5 hours, then extension happened. I added like tiny bit extra stuff but still i slacked off and didn't do much hahahahaha

FM bass, Sawtooth+Negative sawtooth lead, clipped triangle is that nice mellow sound and then some more FM for that new instrument that comes at second part. Drums are as usual stuff taken from YMF719 though I layer the sounds a little to get new sort of tonalities lol.

Made with WaveMelon Träkker + some tweaking in Cool Edit Pro 2.0.

So I made a new sound card using YM719+YMF721 chips, and I thought what a nice idea it would be to make a track with it. As nice the idea is, my creative juices are gone and this tiny loop was the only result lol.

YMF721 thing [Summer Chip VIII]

I am a guy who makes music with the Mega Drive, Yamaha YMF71x and SW1000XG sound cards. My goals are to make (late)Italo Disco, (early)Eurobeat and (italian)Spacesynth, but I am not very good at making music and also never quite reach my goals, instead I have some mix of everything and with strong flavor of "Tiido" hence the label "Tiidobeat" on many tracks. I have my bright moments every once in a while and I hope there's more to come ! This place features my brighter ideas as far as music goes.
