A deep dive in Brazilian rhythms marked, in the 90’s the artists' emergence and bands that rescued our cultural identity. Diffusing in a very original way the old brazilian grooves (such as samba, baião, maracatu and others), that new breed of the Brazilian popular music also made appear in 1994 - in the south of the country, more precisely in João Paulo's neighborhood in Florianópolis, a band that presents a pure format of those tendencies, singing the nature, events of the contemporary world and of the contemporary man, to that band, was given the name of Tijuquera, referring to a such “uncle Juca” (that is known in the neighborhood by Juquera).
