Looking Back Before A Goodbye

So I got some K-Micro Silver Bullets from Karma Mics because they're pretty inexpensive for something with great reviews and I'm still looking for a good drum overhead matched pair.

These might just be that matched pair. And also possible vocal mics. And guitar mics. And everything mics.

This is a test of them set up in the recorderman configuration, and I set the width of stereo to 70%. Uncompressed, unleveled, unEQ'd, completely unmixed. Dat kick.

Called pipsqueak because this was recorded on my dad's kit and his kick pedal squeaks... and the silver bullets are tiny. Double meaning yaaaaaaaaaaay!!

Pardon the slop. This was me just improvising random stuff.

I've always wanted to write a song that makes you think the downbeat is somewhere and then flips it on you.

This is currently just an idea. Only midi instruments have gone into this right now. It's super quantized and somewhat lifeless, but I kind of like the robotic sound of it. The piano line is a mix between two different midi synths and I have to find an equivalent of that to play analog because I don't like the mix between analog and midi, and midi drums always sound just wrong to me, so... analog.
