Delightful Imperfections On Widgeon Airwaves - Apr 2023 (Psychill / Psybient / Ambient)

The sound of this EP is downtempo, chillout and ambient with psychedelic elements.
The tracks create a dreamy, floaty headspace through the use of lush pads, ethereal synths, and gentle rhythms.
The overall vibe is very chilled-out and relaxing, suitable for meditation or just zoning out.

Track by Track:

'Under a Bright Star' starts things off slowly with shimmering keys and a warm bassline that builds in intensity over time. This sets the tone for the EP's soothing yet engaging soundscape.
'Unknown Signal' takes the listener on a more psychedelic journey with trippy synth effects and a pulsing beat that evokes the feeling of floating through space.
'Endless Energy' is the highlight of the EP, transporting the listener to an almost out-of-body state through its use of atmospheric sounds and a hypnotic rhythm.
'Gravitational Singularity' closes the EP by washing over the listener with soothing ambient textures, leaving one feeling refreshed and recharged.

This is a very well-crafted EP that achieves its goal of creating a meditative yet engaging listening experience through sound. The tracks are expertly produced and arranged to build a cohesive journey from start to finish.

While the music may not break any new ground stylistically, it executes the downtempo-psychill styles very well, making for a relaxing and thought-provoking listen.
I would highly recommend this EP for fans of ambient, chillout and downtempo music looking for something to help them zone out and recharge.
The mood and vibe created here are truly transportive, and the production quality is high throughout. This is the kind of EP I can see myself returning to again and again for moments of calm reflection.

After @mellowcatmusic provided one of the best warm up sets... our wonderful guest @deepfilip followed with an intense melodic and big unique techno set. I then I had the challenge to step up after two of my favorite music diggers/DJs/personalities to keep up the intensity of this wicked Sunset Grooves night at Folklor club in Lausanne. We finished the night with a b2b2b, however that will remain for the ears of those who were there that night... ;) 

I hope you enjoy this no nonsense mix as the set time was 03:30 - 05:00.

Dva Dereva is a Ukrainian collaboration project of Artem Cherchynskyi, a multi-instrumentalist, and Nadya Makarova, a singer. The project started in 2010 and over the years it has performed meditative and trance acoustic music with the use of a wide range of ethnic and archaic musical instruments, including didgeridoo, kalimba, duduk, Jew’s harp, frame drum, singing bowls, etc. In 2018 Dva Dereva started exploring electronic sound which led to incorporating into their music production the elements of trip-hop, drone ambient, tribal ambient. 
 
The album Parallel Ways of Enlightenment is a story of self-exploration and unification with the Universe through music. Soulful synth drones, cosmic vocals together with hypnotic ethnic instruments will bring you into a deep meditative state.

♥After first traveling in India in 2005 , Tikki Masala was inspired by the deep flavors of authentic Indian classical music. in he's productions he blends sounds of Indian classical instruments like Sitar, Tabla, Santoor, Sarod, Flute, Tanpura, Harmonium and Vocals ... with beats, synthesizers, drums and percussion. 
Recordings made across India from Bhajans, Kirtans, Mantras, street musicians, fellow travelers, jam sessions, concerts, nature and temple sounds are mixed together with psychedelic hypnotic electronic sounds, rhythms and bass lines. 
After some time the music evolved to world Beat, tribal, ethno, Downtempo, Native Beat, global Bass, fusion dance music with influences from all over the world.  
He is  playing a lot of he's creations at ecstatic dance events.

The interest in dance became more present, when he discovered Ecstatic dance and other forms of dance, and found that dancing was so beneficial for the personal, emotional, physical and spiritual development, opening up and discovering the freedom and authenticity.
There was a call to start organizing, facilitating ecstatic dance events in India and founded Ecstatic Dance at The Source Arambol India in 2014, and play around India ,Europe, Russia, Thailand, Bali, ...  
And share with others, what was for him such a beautiful exploration and growing in the being through movement and Dance.
