Dom Tilson is a Producer and DJ from Karlsruhe, based in Hamburg, Germany. In 2016, he started DJing technoid music with his good friend @timtenckhoff. A few years later, he then discovered the beauty and depth of downtempo through the festival 'Bucht der Träumer*' and the event 'Jangala' in Stuttgart. In early 2020, he founded the downtempo collective @schleichend together with three good friends and finally released his first EP (Hard Times)on the label Kollektiv.Liebe at the end of the year, as well as an EP (Pandemie and Sunshine) with his Schleichend buddy @timtenckhoff.

Regardless of the genre he is producing or playing, his sound usually moves in deep, melancholic spaces that sometimes tempt you to dream and sometimes to dance.

Hach was ist das wieder für ein unglaublicher Sommer 🌞 
Den passenden Soundtrack präsentieren wir euch mit unserer Igelkarussell August Ausgabe von Nepomuk. Der Mann aus Halle an der wunderschönen Saale betreibt neben dem Lila Drachen (Kunst- und Kulturverein) einen Podcastchannel namens „Filmmercast“ gemeinsam mit This Raun, für welchen unser @djfeldweg auch schon einen Mix beigesteuert hat. Der Channel ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen, hört mal rein ☝️
Seit nun schon mehr als zwölf Jahren folgt er seiner Passion und beglückt Menschen mit seiner Musikauswahl. Mit abwechslungsreichen Musikgenres weiß er genau wie er Towndempo Herzen höher schlagen lässt. Dabei folgt er immer einem ähnlichen Muster: Der Sound ist meistens sehr deep; warme und knallige Basslines sind ihm dabei besonders wichtig und hinten raus werden die Sets immer etwas melodischer. Absolut geniale Mischung wie wir finden. Ebenso ist es ihm besonders wichtig immer mal wieder mit ner Überraschung um die Ecke zu kommen. 
Auch das gelingt ihm in unserer 104 Podcastausgabe und wir freuen uns, euch einen abwechslungsreichen sommerlichen Festival Sound à la Nepomuk kredenzen zu können. Mit der eben beschriebenen Mischung trifft er voll den Nerv der Jahreszeit und entführt uns in himmlisch harmonische Klangwelten.

"How many various dances of Shiva are known to His worshipers I cannot say. No doubt the root idea behind all of these dances is more or less one and the same, the manifestation of primal rhythmic energy. Whatever the origins of Shiva's dance, it became in time the clearest image of the activity of God which any art or religion can boast of."

In the deep dark forest, among slugs, spiders and squirrels, there are other creatures who once in a year all connect in one place to celebrate and thank nature, dance together and cook a beetroot soup at the fireplace. They talk about distant grounds and irrational life designs, solve their problems, hug each other and dream about a better future. They are fragile and strong, tired and full of energy, disappointed, daydreamers and full of ambitions. 

They like to jump and get crazy, but also like to sit down and take a sip of sekko soziale with a pear juice, they like to run in circles or make a little contact dance, hold each other close or dance a little swing - so I wanted to take them on a journey and make a set, which would have as many facets as a young soul who landed in the garden of Tandava that night. So there is a mix of dreamy ambient, hypnotic funky disco sounds, psychodelic folk, thought provoking lyrics, electronic music from all over the world born in different decades, and whatever else musical styles which have landed in this ecstatic set which made many forest beings dance and smile.

So, have fun and dance, listen until the end and remember "we could do well to a listen sometimes, and not to shout around about things we know nothing about"

I am very happy to share with you another recording from our "7 Year Anniversary of Magician On Duty" that was hosted in Berlin  at Klunkerkranich this past September!

This time around, introducing "Null" (@nullmusik)

When Pierre and Hadri first embarked on their musical journey, the equation of 1+1 magically resulted in the harmonious resonance of 2. Armed with a solitary mouse and a lone keyboard, these two friends engaged in sporadic jam sessions within the confines of their Berlin studio.

Amidst the hustle of one immersed in work and the other grappling with a diminishing faith in humanity, two distinct paths converged, creating a dual void where something indispensable was amiss. As the world paused, and the relentless ticking of the clock came to a standstill, Null emerged from the stillness.

Pooling together their diverse influences, they forged a project that breathed life back into the spirit of freedom. A fusion of their creative energies mirrored a matrimonial union, finding solace and unity in the embodiment of Zero, or as they lovingly named it, Null.

Henceforth, in the symphony of their shared artistic pursuit, the simple arithmetic of 1+1 gracefully dissolves into the enigmatic equation of null, symbolizing the inseparable union of their creative souls.
