Kenya Arakama caught our attention with her cultivated musical taste, rarely found in young artists like her, and her passion for collecting music on vinyl. We believe it’s a matter of time (and keeping up the good work she is doing) until she gets invited to play in the best clubs… 
Her sets are filled with groovy and hypnotic rhythms, traversing the vast spectrum of electronic music.  She might venture from the realms of old-school techno to more modern funk-infused tribal grooves, always with extraordinary elegance.

DJ BONEY S has her own rhythm in music and in life.
Before finally stepping behind the decks herself in 2020, DJ BONEY S already looked back on two decades of club culture experience.

Passionately collecting vinyl from various different genres for years, she started out as a party organiser in her native Belgium. Her behind the scenes work continued after relocating to Germany where she was heavily involved in establishing the PARALLEL nights at Griessmühle as a fixture of Berlin nightlife.

As a former booker and label head, DJ BONEY S developed her own unique taste that is first and foremost shaped by one timeless medium: VINYL. She draws from classic 90s sounds and queer techno, travelling to otherworldly electro or cold industrial beats. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes pouncing -- but always trippy -- her sets invite you to close your eyes. 

DJ BONEY S is resident of queer party SLIME (Berlin) and SOUSAMI (Cyprus), female:pressure member and publishes the PRALL podcast series. She is also one half of DJ Frottée and Hypnotist, both together with zikade.
