a golden summer morning;
while
the gentle breeze brings movement to the green-leaved arms of the trees around us,
the soft ground is caressing our bare feet,
and
the morning sun is kissing the tips of our noses,
we slowly start playing around, 
and allow our bodies to flow freely
to the delicate baselines
that connect straight
to our heartbeats.

My intentions behind this set were to shake of winter, to get ready to open up for a new period of time, and especially to open a space that gives allowance to get in touch with the most sweet, delicate parts within us... that are just as delicate as a "newborn" little flower.

This is an ecstatic dance set of a special kind. 
It's created like an usual ecstatic dance set; it includes different genres, and has a build up part as well as a landing/grounding part. But - the focus lies on giving it a clubby atmosphere. 
It brings together qualities that seem quite incompatible on first sight; I mean how can you be a conscious badass?! 
Let me tell you; it's very possible. 
This mix is an invitation to experience yourself embodied in both those qualities at the same time.
So, go put on your leo print tights, light up your favorite incense stick and let yourself loose!

This weekend at Ecstatic Dance Lab Connectival was all about diving deep into the different qualities that Ecstatic Dance has to offer. Every day was dedicated to another sequence of Ecstatic Dance - this set I played on Thursday evening; this day was all about landing, connecting with myself, arriving in the space, grounding, feeling the earth. As you can hear, my set is not all about these qualities - but it was created with the focus on them specifically.

this one I created within the NOW; every selected track is a reflection of what I could see and feel on the dance floor at that moment. It's pretty much a reflection of the beautiful dancing human bodies, translated into sound. For me, it was an exciting new experience to leave the urge of perfection behind, to let go of my own control patterns and to trust my intuition - and just enjoy the ride.
