MUSE ABOUT (aka Marwan Sabb) is the synthesis of twelve years of artistic research and digging.

Fluctuating between house and techno, he brings to his set a special atmosphere inspired by his origins and atypical background.
Inquisitive and eclectic, he forged his “hybrid” signature, bringing unheard tracks in the right place and at the right time, always
refusing to be enclosed in the musical trend of the moment.

His quest for his own sound led oldschool big names to play his music, such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and Dubfire
who signed him 5 times on his label Sci+Tec since 2016. He is also behind the unfamous edit DIGWAH 05 under his alias Marwan
Sabb.

His versatility led big techno festival as ROTTERDAM RAVE to invite him, Badaboum to book him for an ALL NIGHT LONG and Rex
Club to offer him a residency called ‘Mental Club’, where his creed is to give space to rare and very talented artists.

Being against the current is more than a trademark, it is his artist ideology, open your mind and let him guide you in his universe!

Last year I dove into producing after I attended a workshop with Nils from Kon Faber. This is my first track that feels complete enough for me. I still have a long way to go, but I also want to share it with whoever stumbles over it. 
With no musical training whatsoever, I didn't think I would have the stamina to create my own track yet I am happy with the result and look forward to share more tracks with you.

Self Control Records unveil Ragnar Atari’s latest EP, “Sing”. Releasing Friday, October 18, 2024. Ragnar Atari has appeared previously on the label’s remix roster, the creative force behind a few notable remixes on the label has evolved his sound with this release by stepping into the role of vocalist for the first time. Based in Stockholm, Axel blends vocal Melodic Techno with Deep Progressive House, marking a significant departure from his previous more Acid Techno endeavours.

This transformation is encapsulated in “Sing” offering listeners a more profound and emotive track to connect to while retaining the signature elements of his earlier work, including the occasional resonant 303. The six-track EP features original mixes alongside a set of remixes from esteemed artists such as another label returnee Boyesen, label supremo Future Self, and new to the pack OTH. Notably, Boyesen’s remix of “Sing” stands out with its robust melodic lines while the production on the OTH. remix channels the banging Swedish compressor Techno of the late 90s in full force.

As always Future Self adds a unique touch, equipping the track with a sense of nuance you rarely hear nowadays. The collaborative spirit is further highlighted by the shared history between Ragnar Atari and Boyesen, both of whom previously remixed “Guess Again” earlier this year.

“Sing” is a showcase of Ragnar Atari’s flexibility as a producer and his ability to innovate and change things up when the time is right. As a whole this record is a great showcase of the vibrant community of producers Self Control Records is building.
