So it was about time to unleash some new heavy hitters by this House master. 

With the opener “Twisted Signal” this EP sets the pace and tone to spiraling and pulsating sines, great grooves and
hypnotic vocal use. Dark dance floor material at it’s best! Followed by the deep “Spiral Highway” the a-side is one long live jam.
On the b-side we take back the pace and make it groovy-er with the House cut “Open Your Eyes” in a true classic “Revenge” style. Closing out with the excellent lush journey that is “Your Life”, bringing back again his great vocal sample use and adding deep soulful chord flavors.

PREMIERE: Beard In Dust - Ambivalent Intelligence Dub

The next foursome on Tilly Jam. Once again, label-honcho Till von Sein is pushing his variously tempered, tenderly to vigorously crafted House-approaches through the sequencer. Resulting in:

“Feva” – the opener. True to its name, this cut is vitalizing Disco-fever within every detail, be it the funked up bass grounding, the pulse quickening percussions, the claps that are up for a good spank or the string glaze that certainly will disinhibit every floor that’s topped by a mirror ball.

Quick vowel switch and there we are, led into deeper realms by A2. “Fave” is built upon a yearningly keyed in piano-miniature, dense shakers, a groove laden bass and a profound string embrace. Elements that seem to aim for one thing in particular: to crank up the floor thermostat a notch or two.

The B-side is heating things up even further with “Chronic” and therefore this EP’s peaktime recommendation. It is carried out by the most evident bounce within this bunch of tunes, energised by lifted and lowered synth-chords, thickened by a highly effective groove that’s calling upon the rather deeply pumping DJ heart.

And after the closing track is through, it should be obvious which side to take in a so called ‘he said – she said’. This very “She Said” is laid out as a Soul emitting, guitar licks indulging, rimshot-pattern decorated jam, that should cover everyone in a warm, loving glow who is not yet jaded into emotional surdity.

Alongside his trademark sound, Till von Sein exudes an aura of noble grandeur mixed with the genuine enthusiasm of a child with a favourite toy when he's busy in the DJ booth. But  Tilly’s toy, which in this case is house and its countless derivatives, won’t ever end up forgotten in the corner. Long after the wrapping paper has been thrown away, what Till loves has yet to lose its magic. For von Sein, the sound of an 808 clap triggers a state of ecstasy, which in his hands emerges as pure euphoria on the dance floor. Time and again, his thumping transitions and heart-racing sets send listeners into overdrive, revealing the very core of house, soul and techno, while hitting on just what makes these genres so exciting.

Despite his intimate knowledge of the industry, which might allow him to slip easily into a been-there-done-that attitude, Till von Sein shows non-stop enthusiasm. For the last ten years, he has run the internationally active Clique Bookings at the side of Claudia Marquardt. More recently, his work as a producer has grown to encompass a vast catalogue of releases on labels such as Suol, Dirt Crew and Supplement Facts. He has collaborated with artists such as Tigerskin, Aera, Chopstick and Catz’n’Dogz, and his DJ work has long been a fixture in the international club scene. After his 2011 solo album "#LTD" (Suol), von Sein enjoyed a fully booked calendar and successful tour through South Africa, Japan, USA and Europe. He continues to ride a wave of success. In 2013, he released his personal contribution to the Suol Mates mix series, and further EP releases are in the works. Upcoming projects for 2014 include a new solo album and a project with producer and friend Tigerskin.
