Buenos Aires-based Colombian producer Diego Ruiz, aka DFRA, steps up to take charge for the second release from the young Four Framed Music label. He distills his love of Chicago and Detroit into these four stylish house cuts along with the signature sounds he is known for. 'Get Outta My Bass' is first with its wave of warming synth work and lively drums while 'Soul To Soul' pumps a deeper vibe, though the soul-drenched feelings remain. 'Black Point' is built from lo-fi and dusty loops, with muted synth magic spreading feel good vibes and last of all DFRA & Kuraitis join forces for late-night roller 'The Purple Rose'.

'Coming From The Deep' EP by Munky Fike is the latest release from GLBDOM's sub-label GLBDOM Classic, and is a masterclass in elegant, retro house sounds for the modern, twenty-first century dance floor. Comprised of four tracks, Munky Fike gets things started with the eponymous 'Coming From The Deep', a simple yet powerful track featuring uplifting pads and a super catchy bassline, embellished with subtle touches of 303 and emotive sax refrains. Up next is 'Freak Me' which, as the name suggests, has a more energetic and frenetic vibe. Organ licks, a stomping bassline and deftly applied vocal samples all add up to make Freak Me a certified dance floor jam! Track three, 'Makes Me Happy', is a sax and piano infused number with a lively beat and hefty bassline, replete with soaring vocal hits and a fervent pulse that will get any crowd moving. Topping things off is the super funky 'So Good', with its soulful vocal stabs and hypnotic organ riff driving the tune ever onwards and upwards. Add in lashings of sax and strings, and So Good becomes the perfect finishing track for this absolute vibe of an EP!

The Omnibeats compilation series returns late April with ‘Sweet Medicine’ mixed by French artist Sebb Junior.

Sebb Aston, better know to most as Sebb Junior is a French producer and DJ currently living in Spain and over the past two decades collecting, playing and composing records has risen to prominence on the underground house circuit. Sebb has become most notably known for his releases via Miguel Migs Salted Music, Chicago’s legendary Large Music and Kerri Chandler’s
revered Madhouse imprint. Here we see him enlisted to mix the third installment of the new Omnibeats compilation series, a retrospective look back on some of his favourite records from the back catalogue of Champion, Bad Boys, Madhouse and MadTech Records.

Across the ‘Sweet Medicine’ mix Sebb explores an array of classic and contemporary house styles with notable masterpieces like Kerri Chandler, Kamar and Eddie Lewis’ ‘I Need You’, Raze’ ‘Break 4 Love’ and Staxx’s ‘Joy’ thrown in amongst contemporary cuts from the likes of Demarkus Lewis,
Walter Ego and Krystal Klear among many others. All in all Sebb Junior delivers a smoothly flowing, impeccably chosen selection of tracks compiled with his deft mixing skills, the result is a sun drenched, house heavy and thoroughly enjoyable listen.
