April Kerry is a name who has risen to become one of the
most sought-after talents in the modern techno scene. With
her arsenal of raw, hypnotic, and hard-groove techno, April
has carved out a unique path for herself that has taken her to
some of the largest festivals and events all over the country.
Her journey began with her debut release “Serpent” on
Recovery Collective. 

April has shared stages with some of the biggest names in the business, including Thomas Schumacher, Carl Cox, Ben Klock, Bart Skils, ReinerZonneveld, Shlomo, Trym, and Alan Fitzpatrick, among others. She has been a regular fixture on the lineup of some of the
most iconic events in the music scene, including PURE Carl
Cox, Tell No Tales, Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival,
Earth Frequency Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, and Bohemian
Beatfreaks.

Despite her busy schedule, April’s been working in the studio
as much as in the booth, bringing her worlds together and
forging a musical language that is uniquely her own. Her
dedication and talent have earned her a legion of fans who
eagerly anticipate her next move.

April's recent performance at Piknic Electronic before Ben
Klock at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, as well as her feature
on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave Radio, are just two
examples of her rising success. With her incredible talent,
captivating performances, and unwavering dedication to her
craft, it's no wonder that April is considered one of the most
potent artists in the techno scene today.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

As we move further into the digital age, we believe that the future of clubbing is a 50/50 balance of real life and online. With this in mind, we have begun moving Tilt Shift in this direction.

We aim to create a platform that shines a light on Melbourne Locals and international talent. Build an online community while simultaneously putting people in the room as we broadcast.

Tilt Shift has been operating in Melbourne since 2017 facilitating events at a variety of the city's most reputable late-night haunts like Revolver, Boney, Section 8 & New Guernica. In this time we have hosted & toured artists such as: Marvin & Guy, Curses, The Hacker, Tronic Youth & Timothy Clerkin


Tilt Shift endeavour to promote an environment that feels safe and welcoming, somewhere which you don’t have to wrestle with the struggles of the day. No racism, sexism, homophobia or any discriminatory attitudes will be tolerated. We also care that the music is good and genres are blurred. Put away your phone and dance with us.
