Blush aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

“I’ve always been a big listener of Ambient music, from Electronica to Chill-out to Sound Bath to Minimal Classical to Soundtrack, with lots of influence from artists that touch on the genre in some capacity such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Pat Metheny, Steve Reich, Mike Oldfield, Baths, Akira Yamaoka (the list could go on). For this mix, I wanted to go on a journey through a plethora of different ambient styles and emotions that I’ve held close within my own music - as a little peek into another side of me that you won’t always hear in my usual dance floor sets - including all new releases from a range of artists. Hope you enjoy the ride!"

Panooc (They/Them) is a multi-instrumentalist, DJ & writer/producer. Engaged in music for most of their life, Panooc spent their formative years in NYC working in their craft & nightlife scene, and eventually joined the LGBTQ collective XOXA, where they help to spotlight other queer artists and create an extended international community. Touring both domestically in the UK & USA, & internationally (such as Germany, Portugal, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, Japan), they curate each set they play with intention & exploration for the dance floor, ranging from energising house to fun-loving disco to hard-hitting acid and techno to left field breaks, and hold 2 radio residencies on AAJA Radio & EHFM where they share new, captivating music every month. They have had EP & single releases on labels such as Sorry Records (NYC), .WAVCAVE (NYC), Ultra Music (Sony), Delusional Records (LA), with their most recent releases on Fortune Signal (NYC) and Super Drama Records (London) being played on BBC Radio, NTS, Voices Radio, The Lot Radio, Mixmag Cover Mix and more.

Super Drama are Jerome Slesinski and Jon Arnold.  They formed in 2017 and have been a staple as DJs on the London scene playing at some of the most fab queer nights and venues in London including Dalston Superstore, Sands of Time, Field Maneuvers and Adonis.  As well as DJing the duo run their own imprint Super Drama Records which has been self releasing their records since 2017 including Drama Theme, a track which would put them firmly on the map on the East London night scene. 
The pair have had guest features on NTS, Worldwide FM and Rinse FM and have released with and done remixes for the likes of Bell Towers, Hannah Holland, In Flagranti, FYI Chris, Josh Caffé, Kuntessa and Kiwi.
We are so so stoked to present such legends on the mix series to you. Serving a glitzy camp mix full of their usual punchy italo, breakbeat, disco sound that is the perfect soundtrack to upcoming festivities as the year reaches its climax.  
You can catch Super Drama at Dalston Superstore on the 22nd of December for Family Drama, funds which will go towards much needed aid in Palestine.
