Been A long time since I dropped a Vinyl-only set. Was going well till I played one of my all-time favorites 'Moscow Risers' which is an exceeding worn-down record as a tram went past resulting in a massive skip fail. Also, the start of My 'Blackstrobe Chemica Sweet Gril EP' always skips a beat so that mix-out is a bit hectic as well!

Is what it is. All part of performing live with vinyl!! Left it in as it's just the way it goes ;)

Traxion has had a massive few years developing his sound, brand and reason behind his art.

Melbourne, Australia based DJ, producer and master in a range of genres including indie-dance, post-punk, nu-disco, italo and has gravitated towards his unique expression of sound and performance from around the age of 15 years old. Traxion has sold out his headliner show in Melbourne, played at the world-renowned Burning Man in 2022 & also toured in Mexico in that same year. Traxion has also made huge some huge appearances at some of Australia’s biggest shows including Pitch Music & Arts festival main stage, Let Them Eat Cake, Beyond The Valley and supported huge international names like Jennifer Cardini, Curses, Job Jobse, Skatebard, Maceo Plex, Keinemusik, HAAi, Midland & many more.
Traxion also has a collaborative duo project with Sam In Space titled ‘Future City Punks’.

Successful, heaving shows and international bookings aren’t the only big waves Traxion is making. This set is the Re-Creation of my set from this year's Motion Festival.  Unfortunately, it wasn't recorded at the time. Had so many DM & requests for it after the event figured I had to re-create it. 

Pulling it from my USB History and hitting record in the studio didn't feel right so decided to re-do it live on stream. By doing it this way my hope is I bake in some of that live, in-the-moment nrg, rather than a clinical studio mix.

Born and bred in Australia’s creative capital, Melbourne, Tamara Kiti has remained at the forefront of the local electronic music scene for over 20 years. Kiti’s love of music started from a very young age; she was an avid record collector, a classically trained flutist, and a keen club kid, making her the diverse and eclectic DJ she is today. For the majority of her tenure as a DJ, Kiti has been a staple at some of Australia’s most prolific parties and institutions, including Melbourne Techno Collective, Dark Mofo Festival in Hobart, Piknik Electronik at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne Music Week and Revolver Upstairs. Kiti is a go-to for local bookers, frequently receiving the call-up to support some of the world’s most renowned international artists, including DJ Hell, Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Matrixxman, Dopplereffekt, A Guy Called Gerald and Kevin Saunderson, to name a few. Following an interrupted couple of years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kiti has remained a mainstay in Australia’s electronic music scene, continuing to excel at her craft

Love Fist Tears, this is what L.F.T. stands for.

A DJ, producer, and live act who is exploding into the realms of
contemporary electronic music more with each passing day. His music defines itself as a mixture of new wave and breakbeat-influenced electro, a sound that is shaped by the distorted drum machines of The Hague as well as the romantic synth melodies of San Francisco in the 80s.

In recent years, L.F.T. has released several pieces of timeless music on labels such as Return To Disorder, Mechatronica, Eye for An Eye
Recordings, all in addition to his debut album on Osaré Editions. The
electro virtuoso also released his second album “Salz” on Mannequin Records and he shows no signs of stopping in his quest to create music for dark days.As a DJ, L.F.T. transitions between the different realms of electro andtechno seamlessly, creating detailed soundscapes of futuristic dread and hope.

Based in Hamburg Germany, L.F.T. curates evenings at the Golden
Pudel Club, together with his friend Lukas. The pair also run an
independent record label called “Neoprimitive”, which puts a focus on experimental music.

Sam In Space | Dark Disco Post Punk Indie Dance| Tilt Shift Tuesday 9th April 2024

Sam In Space is a Producer & DJ from Melbourne, Australia. With a sound that is characterized by a fusion of electronic and analog instruments, his music explores the sonic palettes between indie dance, disco, post-punk, electro, and anywhere in between. An avid musician and guitarist from a young age, Sam delves into the unique cross-over between the electronic and live band domains to create energetic listening experiences. 

With releases on Melbourne’s Boots & Legs, Berlin-based platform Feinstoff, and his debut EP on Ilya Santana’s underground disco haven ‘Astrolead Recordings’, his productions have been supported by fellow indie dance artists such as Darlyn Vlys, Freudenthal, and Beyond The Struttosphere, with tracks being played as far and wide as Glastonbury Festival.

Naarm, Melbourne-based DJ. For almost 20 years, James Steer has consistently and unassumingly contributed to the after-hours soundtrack of Melbourne. Well-respected within the underground Melbourne DJ community, James has built a reputation as a selector who deftly balances deepest cuts with technical execution. James cut his teeth as one of the founders of the legendary Deep Chord Melbourne parties in the early noughties, showcasing the emerging deep minimal sounds of the time to an eager and receptive audience. The party started off as an intimate affair in the confines of the upstairs space of Pony Bar (later Boney), before finding a true home in the legendary basement space of the Mercat Cross. Since then, James has regularly graced the decks at some of Melbourne’s most iconic nightspots, equally adept at delivering funk and disco-laden suppertime soundtracks as heaving excursions into deep dance floor dynamics. Drawing from a vast, genre-defying collection, James’ sets offer the listener/dancer a guided tour through the fundamentals of depth, always evolving and never stagnant, a glimpse into the now, with a respectful nod to what’s come before.

Jess Sneddon is a full-time designer, and part-time DJ who grew up on a steady diet of 80s synth pop and punk. Coming from a DIY background, she blends genres from experimental to cosmic chug and hard-edged body music. She’s played at local parties such as Pleasure Planet, Steeplejack label nights, and Obsidian Festival and has supported Peter Van Hoesen, Regis and Helena Hauff. Jess currently hosts Fluorescence on Skylab Radio — a show dedicated to shoegaze, dream pop, and neo-psychedelia.

Anna B | House Prog UKG | Tilt Shift Tuesday 4th June 2024

UK-born, Naarm-based Anna B is making waves in the Naarm music scene. Host of Area3000 show ‘The Glow Up’ and founder of new party ‘Sweet Gemini’ celebrating the rich diversity of artists Naarm has to offer. 

Anna was brought up on the silky sounds of old-school UKG. She likes to experiment with tracks from the early noughties UKG and dance era. “I love anything with a continuous kick drum, bass line, and classic vocals that old-school UKG tracks do so beautifully”. 

Since living in Naarm Anna has become a regular at Hope St Radio, Glamorama, and Revolver and has played many local parties such as Novel, Solstice, Ethereal, and The Boiler Room after-party. Expect infectious energy from her sets as Anna B weaves her way through the genres and her love for rhythm and euphoria.

Matias J is a visual artist from Bogotá, Colombia, currently based in Naarm/Melbourne. Operating under the moniker "porqueami," which means "why me?" in Spanish, Matias has always been attracted to working on music projects and recently began his journey as a DJ, playing and mixing records across a variety of different genres. However, he finds the most joy in playing post-punk, EBM, and darkwave-related tunes. For Matias, if there's something he loves, it is to spend his time digging into music that he believes embodies the elements that make people dance with the nostalgia of 80's synth wave and the darkness of goth-related subgenres.

MRTNZ (MARTINEZ) is a DJ and a visual artist from South America
currently living in Melbourne, he has been a music collector for most of his life. His passion for electronic music started in London’s underground music scene back in the 2000s.

His sets are a mix of atmospheric and driving techno, electro, synth wave, EBM and anything in between. In recent years he has been part of the Melbourne Techno music scene as a DJ as well as a promoter supporting artists like Setaoc Mass, Takaaki Itoh and Wrong Assessment.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

Yulia Kasa| Hypnotic Hard Groove Techno | Tilt Shift Tuesday 11th June 2024

With an unwavering passion for deep, dark, groovy house and melodic techno, and newly branching out into fast, hypnotic techno with acid basslines, Yulia Kasa continues to push the boundaries of her signature sound and style. Based in Melbourne, Kasa has played solo for KISS FM Aus, 150 BPM events, Lucky Coq, My Aeon TechnoTime, TechNeck radio, In Progress Amsterdam radio with Zoldex and more. Kasa was also a founding member of duo Femme Fatale in 2023 where she played at well-known venues Revolver, New Guernica and Brown Alley. Kasa's sole focus now is on her solo journey, as well as meeting like-minded people within the underground techno community and discovering new artists at events. Kasa looks for inspiration everywhere, and her dedication and enthusiasm can be felt on dance floors. Kasa's sets are currently influenced by the likes of Drumcode, Klockworks, Tr!p recordings, HATE, BCCO and Vault Sessions Collective. She is inspired by artists such as Nina Kraviz, Ben Klock, Richie Hawtin, Ben Sims, MARRON, CHLAR, Alarico, Wata Igarashi and many more. Yulia Kasa is not only an inspiring DJ but also an advocate for the promotion of diversity and inclusion within the music industry. She actively supports initiatives that empower and uplift aspiring artists worldwide. Currently in her element with a clear vision ahead, there are lots of exciting things to come from Yulia Kasa.

April Kerry| Hypnotic Hard Techno | Tilt Shift Tuesday 11th June 2024

April Kerry is a name who has risen to become one of the
most sought-after talents in the modern techno scene. With
her arsenal of raw, hypnotic, and hard-groove techno, April
has carved out a unique path for herself that has taken her to
some of the largest festivals and events all over the country.
Her journey began with her debut release “Serpent” on
Recovery Collective. 

April has shared stages with some of the biggest names in the business, including Thomas Schumacher, Carl Cox, Ben Klock, Bart Skils, ReinerZonneveld, Shlomo, Trym, and Alan Fitzpatrick, among others. She has been a regular fixture on the lineup of some of the
most iconic events in the music scene, including PURE Carl
Cox, Tell No Tales, Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival,
Earth Frequency Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, and Bohemian
Beatfreaks.

Despite her busy schedule, April’s been working in the studio
as much as in the booth, bringing her worlds together and
forging a musical language that is uniquely her own. Her
dedication and talent have earned her a legion of fans who
eagerly anticipate her next move.

April's recent performance at Piknic Electronic before Ben
Klock at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, as well as her feature
on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave Radio, are just two
examples of her rising success. With her incredible talent,
captivating performances, and unwavering dedication to her
craft, it's no wonder that April is considered one of the most
potent artists in the techno scene today.

Viivn | Techno Progressive Leftfield | Tilt Shift Tuesday 11th June 2024

Originally from Belgium, Vivien is a multifaceted electronic music artist who started his career playing records in 2010. After travelling extensively he found his creative home in Melbourne's eclectic music scene,
relocating in 2016. Vivien has a versatile range of technical skills and creative influences that fuel his abstract musicality as a DJ and producer.

Vivien’s DJ sets are inspired by his love of vinyl and insatiable interest in the techno music genre. Inspired by his travels and Belgo-Congolese heritage Vivien’s distinctive sound is minimalist, rhythmically diverse, and
uniquely progressive. He lists influences such as: Pig & Dan, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sven Väth, and Paco Osuna as integral to his sonic journey. Playing locally and internationally he has supported well-known
artists, including Nina Kraviz, Helena Hauff, Thomas Gandey, James Zabiela, Umek, Tinlicker, and Yotto. 

The 2018 YourShot DJ Melbourne Winner, Vivien opened the City Steps stage at CRSSD festival San Diego (USA) in 2018 returning to play again in 2019. Internationally he has played clubs Spin and BangBang (San Diego) and Le Clan (Prague). Closer to home Vivien regularly plays at venues and festivals such as Brown Alley, New Guernica, Pawn and Co, Electric, Revolver Upstairs, and Festival 23.
