Deep Edition round off 2013 with the final Ep of the year coming from label Head Martijn,
with various remixes and originals spread throughout 2013 Martijn has been charted by DJ T 
and supported and played by Wild, Tuccillo, Andre Rozzo & Pawas to name a few.

His Rhythmatics EP features 3 Original tracks all moving towards the floor, 
the opener “I Need a Rhythm” focuses on a deep & dubby bass with the lead 
taken from an old dx7, “Stutter” ups the tempo adding a scattered vocal
with loose percussion and some vintage key stabs, 
“House moves” is the heads down floor mover featuring Piano stabs 
dotted in and around the deep chords.

Martijn also has two 12” Eps landing early 2014 on Disrobe Records &
Hermine Records plus a remix of the Minimal classic Wayna by
Tania Vulcano & Tato, featuring on 5 Years of Isgud Remixed, with a full Ep
to Follow under his tIJN Guise.

Deeply spiritual musician, producer and founding father of 'Ancestral Soul', African powerhouse Boddhi Satva returns with a very special 4 track EP. Having previously released on Louie Vega's 'Vega' label and Osunlade's Yoruba Records as well as running his own 'Offering Recordings', we are delighted to welcome him back to BBE. Full of African and Latin influenced rhythms and powerful vocal performances, 'Awakened Spirit' perfectly reflects Satva's idiosyncratic, mystical approach to music. Translating as 'The White Bird', opening track 'Ngnari Konon' is "an ode to peace in Africa and the rest of the world" says Satva. It features Grammy Award winner & UN ambassador Oumou Sangare, one of Africa’s greatest female voices. Featuring the late vocalist Mangala Camara, hypnotic second track 'Nankoumandjan' is named after an ancient warrior from the Mandingue Empire.

Potent third track 'Benefit' features legendary UK soul vocalist Omar, who simply soars over Satva's blend of African and Caribbean musical flavours. Final track 'FightingSpirit' closes out the EP with Brazilian percussion backing up a dense and potent House groove, dedicated to Boddhi's father who sadly lost his battle with cancer in early 2014.

We are delighted to present this special pair of tracks from Spanish producer and DJ Kiko Navarro on glorious 12″ vinyl, providing a glimpse of his much anticipated forthcoming album ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’.

Opening track ‘Twilight’ will need no introduction for crate diggers and 80’s club kids. A complete remaking of the Maze classic, Kiko’s version raises the tempo into deep house territory, retaining the dreamy, sensual feel of Frankie Beverly’s original.
Providing a sumptuous taste of the old-school, Kiko’s own acid-laden, energetic dub version of ‘Twilight’ is sure to wreak havoc on the dance-floor, with perhaps a little hint of good old fashioned euphoria as it reaches it’s synth string-filled climax.
On the B-Side ‘Cranc’ provides a raw, analogue, Detroit-esque synth jam, building an intense groove with an insistent, wrong-footing bassline underpinning dizzying arpeggios, jazzy stabs and warm chords.
