2020 Lightning in a Bottle Artists

Hello again! As you may have noticed (or not), it's been nearly 3 months since I put out a new King Tape due to an extremely busy schedule. This was the longest gap I've had between releases, as the past few years have been on a monthly basis.

After spending some time in Tulum earlier this year, I came home with new inspiration. Lately I've been playing a lot of downtempo, ethnic / worldly music, so I wanted to build out a story with some of my favorites. The result is what I can proudly say is quite possibly my favorite King Tape yet. I hope you feel the same. As always, enjoy the ride. xx

King Tape 34 [Song Of Life]

Drawing on the passion and soul instilled in him growing up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Patricio has blurred out of all confines of genres. His sound has been known to move all over the musical spectrum. In Los Angeles Patricio and Shawni, his wife,  co-created a party called THE SPACE IN BETWEEEN. This joint venture was a desire to bring some of the Favela Bar, a stage he co-created and now curates at Lightning in a Bottle, from the festival into the city. Bringing something more intimate while supporting all the amazing local talent that Los Angeles has to offer. 

You can also find Patricio bringing his contagious style up and down the west coast and at festivals like Coachella, Symbiosis and Minimal Effort.  Patricio is also currently working on a few studio productions coming to your dance floors not soon enough.

This year the DoLab and Favela team had the daunting task of moving the festival to a new location and a new date - meaning that the usual long weekend crowd was a little lighter on Sunday than previous years. Still, the Favela Stage did its part to bring some gorgeous deep house vibes to the faithful, with this 90 minutes set just before the sunset as my offering.

I was on opening duties for the December Cold Moon so I warmed up a bit and got to business with some dark techno grooves to keep the bodies moving.
