Deer Spirit Ghost

Coldplay's first major single turned 20 this month! I was working on an arrangement of this song, for a scholastic group, that unfortunately got delayed due to COVID-19. So I took the opportunity to reimagine the song through some alt-indie influences like Bon Iver, S. Carey, and Sufjan Stevens.

This is my first full project in Logic Pro X! I've been working in Adobe Audition the past five years and am excited to branch out into a more robust production software.

An acoustic, meditative, prayerful song in Spanish and English. "Voz" calls attention to the children and families being imprisoned in ICE concentration camps in the US. This is my peaceful protest as an artist, and my prayer: Please, Lord, free your children.
The dual purpose of this single is to raise funds for lead singer Jessica Westbay's mother Ana-a cancer survivor and single mother. Ana is currently awaiting a bone marrow transplant as she is again in a fight for her life. Half of all proceeds for Voz will go to Ana's GoFundMe to pay for medical bills as well as living expenses.
