Oregon HB 2472 is proposing to penalize coaches and athletic directors for poor fan behavior, such as the Oregon Ducks fans chanting anti-mormon hate speech at BYU last season. The law, if enacted, would suspend the coach and athletic director one week for each instance. Is this a good law? Should there be significant punishment to the University for poor fan behavior?
