Destination Hallucination  - the mini-musical

Educational technologist, Roger Harrison, tells new students how to study the "Man-made World" foundation course (T100) with the Open University, in this audio message from 1972. T100 was the first technology course run by the OU, and joined the inaugural M100 (Maths), D100 (Social Science), A100 (Arts), and S100 (Science)courses launched in 1971. 

As Roger explains: "this tape recording contains a few hints which I think will make it easier to tackle the work". The tape covers: how long to allow for study (00:26), planning your work (02:16),  starting a unit (04:50), radio and television notes (06:10), exercises and activities (07:03), assignments (08.40), essay writing (10:54), revision (12:54), 'getting behind' (14:12) and feedback (14:57).

At the end of his talk Rogers suggests that: "as soon as you feel you've got the message, you can use the tape for something else". Although they probably didn't envisage it at the time, I hope the OU don't mind me including 'upload to Soundcloud' as an appropriate alternative use. If they do, I will happily delete it.
