Spring has arrived with added fervour here at Darkroom Dubs HQ, as Parisien maestro Prinze delivers four jubilant tracks heralding his much-anticipated label debut. His 'We Are Free' EP is a bold clarion call to the dancefloor that gives a mischievous nod to early '90s UK progressive house and the halcyon days of acid and rave culture while fully embracing a defined and distinctively psychedelic sonic vision of the future.

2025 will undoubtedly continue to be an eventful year for Prinze as he duly prepares a fistful of cosmic missives for his own Epicure Records and remix collaborations with Rotten City head honcho Alvaro Cabana and Silicone Soul. The latter is an acid dub of REMAIN & DaWad's 'Comatose' and is due to drop on Bogotá's Kaputt.wav label in early May. Much love x

In good old label tradition, Feines Tier presents the new Zoo Compilation Volume 4. You can keep the first half of tracks 1-11 in mind as The Deep Tracks and from 12-21 as The Action Tracks. These were our internal working titles anyway. In the end, it's a big compilation with 21 artists that we don't want to pigeonhole, because it's a big zoo! Thank you to Marcel Kreuzer aka Zoologne for the lovely cover art.

For our next installment we are excited to have French comrades REMAIN & daWad, both who shared an affinity for dark melodic, synthetic and sometimes atmospheric 90s touches that gives birth to their own cyber electronic music. Both longtime producers and veterans of the dance scene shares as a duo project, “Drowsy” an EP with the eclectic tact that characterise them.

Dazzled, the first single of the EP comes with an intrinsic touch that dives between hypnotic synths, stabs and a restless bass along with dreamy voices which calls for a night out.

Comatose on the other hand promises to defy any dancefloor driving the listener through an static and trembling bass line, drifted vocals and a persisting beat building up constantly on a 
perfect club ride.

Following the 2 original tracks, we’re thrilled to have legend Silicone Soul & Prinze’s, remixing Comatose on a beautiful Acid dub that is nothing short but mesmerizing, along with label mate Kabinett who doesn’t cut short to add harmony a drives all night with his take on Dazzled.

I've discovered this wonderful french band some months ago and couldn't get them out of my head (as Mrs Minogue would have said). So, I decided to make an edit of one of their productions. Just to make the pleasure longer and to be able to share it in clubs. 

Gérard Pelletier from Deux has passed away in 2013. What a strange feeling…
