Tim is a veteran of the London music scene, having played since the early 70s (Dorris Henderson's Eclection, The Kevin Coyne Band, David McWilliams, The Gordon Smith Blues Band) through the 80s with The Poor Boys who were resident band every Saturday at The Caernarvon Castle in Camden, semi-retiring in the 90s and then coming back in the new Millenium to help Dorris make here come back album Here I Go Again in 2002, and playing with The Guvnors (headline act at The Ealing Blues Festival for many years. 

After the death of Dorris Henderson in 2005, it was time to go out and form a band, Tim Penn and The Strange Sins, (CD Down In The Deep 2009) and this has gradually morphed into TIm Penn and The Second Line, a good time piano led, NOLA influenced outfit. 

Tim can be seen regularly down at Dom Pipkin's IKO's New Orleans Music Shop jam, every other Tuesday at The Alleycat in Denmark Street, and with his own band down at The Fox in Twickenham.
