Following on the heels of last year's "Circuit EP", which got support from the likes of Scuba, Matthew Dear and 2000 And One, Andre Crom starts into 2017 with "Short Circuit", another offering of stripped back and highly functional dj-tools.

The title track's energetic drums are inspired by it's predecessor, but "Short Circuit" ditches "Circuit"'s vocal in favor of a mental industrial percussion-lead.

"Impedance" takes things towards a more stripped back and minimalistic route, the "randomly" syncopated drum patterns giving the track an ever-evolving feel.

Tallmen 785, a new member of the OFF-family and known from releases on Hotflush, Fiedel and his own "Tallmen Records", delivers a trippy and hypnotic underground remix.

‘Fleshy Bleep’ recruits jittering percussion alongside an aerating bass riff for an idiosyncratic club number before Viktor Talking Machine step up to close the EP with a textured and stretched out remix.

‘Solo EP’ is a release set to do big things in the club, and there is no doubt that each track has a perfect fit for different situations on the dancefloor.

Its the modern times which makes it happen when you never met each other, but now you have a common release. Thats the story how Rafael Cerato and Marc DePulse met. Simply chatting about music and kidding: 'Why dont we make some music together?'. Exchanging ideas, project files and inspiration. And its quite the middle of both artists qualitys: Marcs melancholic harmonies, Rafaels peaktime beats. 

So 'AGORA' was born as the first of totally 5 tracks both guys produced together. Two interpretations wanted, the guys invited Denmarks rising star PETE OAK and Germanys newcomer HIDDEN EMPIRE who both did it their way. And they did it really fantastic!

Happy to share with you this original from Chris LIopis out on 1st May on Motek Label.

Motek is excited to welcome Chris Llopis to the label and his EP ‘Clove / Beyond The Curve’. The Swedish producer has delivered a grooving and moody release, full of deep tones, subtle percussive elements and experimental synth lines. Both original tracks are rooted on their punchy kick and bass parts and hold extra weight due to the space they are given in the mix. ‘Clove’ is the more upfront of the two, with cutting choppy hi hats, swirling ride cymbals and direct synth sections. ‘Beyond The Curve’ is more understated and subtle, with the bass line holding the rhythm and keeping the track moving. The keys and pads are softer and filtered down adding a warmth to the production whilst variety and interest is added in the vocal additions and rolling builds. Remixing on this release it is fantastic to welcome Martin Landsky and back to the label Martin Aquino who has teamed up with Motek’s Robert Roman. Martin Landsky has taken ‘Clove’ and made it his own. A bold and bouncy production, Martin has kept some of the lead synth elements of the original and added a strong stab keys section that filters in and out, from the subtle to the full on in your face sharp hit - a full bodied strong dance floor mover. Martin Aquino and Robert Roman have reconstructed ‘Beyond The Curve’, taking on a more minimal approach in stripping it back to let the groove do the talking. Hints to the original bass line and synth sections can be picked out amongst fresh percussive sections and a moving arrangement of highs, lows and intrigue.

Third Son and co. call on Citizen Kain and HearThug to take on the mantle for the latest EP from the Polymath imprint. Donned with the title of 'Apathy', the two producers were tasked with crafting a worthy vision and neither disappoints. Citizen Kain turns in a pulsating hammerhead cut with driving bass-line and heavy hitting percussive ensemble. You can check out the track in full below!
