It’s like somebody telling you that the last moments of the night came and you are leaving the mood of these dark and safe halls forever. It is a like a trip starting and ending between two worlds. PREMIERE : Third Son - Desert Of Song [Natura Sonoris]

The successful series of 'Balearica' compilations that Chus & Ceballos release year after year under their Stereo Productions label is moving its location to their home in the Algarve in Portugal for the 2017 edition.
It will bear the name of the beautiful area where so much of their success was forged, and they want to pay tribute.
This year will see several Chus & Ceballos gigs such as the Iberican Republica events, which showcase the most representative artists of the label, and one of the best festivals in the world: the BPM.
'Algarve 2017' contains the same essence of the Mediterranean as 'Balearica,' and it consists of original tracks of wide musical scope and depth that have been created with the characteristic quality of this emblematic project. This edition contains 17 originals songs and five licenses from related labels.
This is, without a doubt, another compilation that will create a referent, and it will not be out of place in any playlist.

"The latest release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Li-Polymer back to the label for a brand new EP. The Portuguese artist last appeared on the Greek with a remix of 'Undiscovered Highway' by Erdi Irmak. Also finding a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music earlier this year, Li-Polymer now returns to Movement Recordings for his much anticipated 'Mysticism' EP, alongside remixes from Jamie Stevens and Interaxxis.

Beginning with the title cut 'Mysticism' you immediately get a feel for what the Li-Polymer sound is all about. Unique beat patterns combined organic percussion and dreamy themes make for a lovely beginning. It's unconventional storyboard breeds anticipation, as velvety textures and cosmic effects bring an esoteric air. Kaleidoscopic chimes brighten the atmosphere, ultimately leading to the tracks centrepiece. Haunting and emotive in equal measure it caps off what might be a career best production for Li-Polymer thus far. The companion piece 'Phoebus' comes in equally refined and a touch more enigmatic. It's stripped, punchy groove is a delight with cosmic trails and shifty rhythms leading to a reservoir of emotive sonics. It's a piece built on restraint and refinement , deeply engaging and perfect for a late night dance floor. Two stunning creations with depth, character and a refined sonic space. Li-Polymer continues to amaze.

The lone interpretation of 'Mysticism' is provided by Jamie Stevens who is making his first appearance on Movement Recordings. Much revered, the Australian artist has a career spanning over two decades, highlighted by his work with Infusion and a solo career which includes releases on Bedrock, Lost & Found, microCastle and Sudbeat. His borderless approach to production has made him a favourite amongst both techno and progressive DJs alike, with John Digweed and Guy J being two of his biggest supporters. Jamie's expansive creative palette is revealed once again on his 'Mysticism' interpretation. It's deep, techno inspired beginnings are both meditative and anticipatory, with fragmented didgeridoos and mystical effects creating a psychedelic storyboard. Underlying tension builds, sizzling as the centrepiece unfolds, where the main theme flourishes and warped tones arrive with just right esoteric touch, sealing what is ultimately an intense yet emotional journey from one of the underground's most creative talents.

The lone interpretation of 'Phoebus' is provided by Interaxxis who are returning to Movement Recordings for their second appearance. Argentinean artists Emiliano Folgar and Martin Kazez make up the Interaxxis duo and first appeared on the Greek imprint in August of last year with a remix of 'Patterns' by Erdi Irmak. Now following releases on Cid Inc's Replug Records and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, Interaxxis make a much welcome return to Movement and close the release out with a spectacular rendition of 'Phoebus'. The duo's knack for carving out warm, round grooves has never been more apparent with a buoyant foundation anchoring the piece. Beaming with positivity, playful rhythms and rolling drums create a momentous cadence moving forward. Timely transitions shift energy beautifully over the first act before a tension filled break resets the groove for a stunning dance floor moment. A pure progressive take and a great complement to the original.

An exceptional return to Movement for Li-Polymer and perhaps one of the label's most inspired releases all year. Don't miss it."

The 28th Chapter sees Djuma Soundsystem team up with Westerby for our latest story in sound: the cosmic afro tech of ‘Disambigua’.

Now based in Copenhagen, Norwegian artist Djuma Soundsystem was catapulted into the public's consciousness over a decade ago with his club classic 'Les Djinns' on Get Physical Music. His organic, sample-heavy signature sound is the perfect combination with fellow Copenhagen artist Westerby’s rougher, analogue synths and techy edges.

‘Disambigua’, their much-anticipated follow up to smash hit ‘Koma Kobache’ (Get Physical), is a standout cut which is already turning heads on dancefloors across Europe with its dark groove and killer vocal hook.

Rising star Jonathan Kaspar (Objektivity, Pets Recordings) is first up on the Editions, where he takes things deep. Built around the interplay of synth lines in call and response, his rework is a pure bass monster.

Meanwhile, label regular KatrinKa marks her latest release on Chapter 24 with an Edition that places the emphasis on a trademark infectious groove, paired with a spiritual melodic motif; a perfect balance of darkness and light.

The package is rounded out by Aaaron. The in-demand producer has worked with everyone from Defected and Get Physical to (more recently) Connected and Yoshitoshi. He focuses on deep, powerful drums in a version heavy on tension.

With this latest Chapter there can be no doubt: four different flavours of ‘Disambigua’ which together add up to a clear and coherent whole.

The 73th release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine Music welcomes Futur-E to the label for his debut EP. The Greek artist owns an impressive discography which includes releases on Cinematique, MNL and Traum. Now he brings his melodic techno sound to Dopamine Music with a brand new EP entitled 'Stigma'.

Spread out over three tracks the 'Stigma' EP finds the Greek artist showcasing his diverse studio repertoire. Beginning with the title cut Futur-E explores timeless moods over a deep techno framework. Pulsating, rhythmic and delightfully meditative the piece works through vocal delays and charming hooks with an effortless flair. Fitting the new Dopamine ethos perfectly it sits at ease in a broad range of DJ sets, while a well crafted break brings just enough heat for the dance floor.

The second selection 'Anachronism' follows a similar approach with punchy beats and sleek rhythms. Undulating bass sits at the foundation, layered with bright tones and percussive waves. it's a boundless energy, eventually dissipating into the break where indistinct vocal loops and sheets of noise build tension before a powerful drop.

The release concludes with the deeper yet equally engaging 'Chroma'. Distinctive vocals and timely drum fills make for a lovely beginning before a complement of chord stabs pushes the vibe higher. Free flowing through the break, a secondary motif fades the forefront before the groove drops for one final rush. Three stunning creations from Futur-E who continues to broaden his sonic scope with this offering. Highly Recommended.

Coming from North Spain, techno warrior David Granha returns to Sincopat with four weapons. This rising and unstoppable artist presents his fresh and particular style full of dirty, effective and distorted sounds, driven by their harmonic melody. The pack opens up with "Stand Up", making clear right from the beginning that we have a monster coming through our speakers. The never-ending breakdown of the track is for sure a must in many of the sets of the Techno DJs. "Forget the Past" is a big room banger obtained by the result of tweaking acid synths and the presence of a huge kick and bass. For "Ghost in a Shell", David meets Vincent Brasse for an epic and sublime vocal that perfectly combines sensual and electronic feelings. Last but not least, "Chrome" offers a hypnotic and always slice of clapping techno.
