The lack of control we’ve all experienced in the past year or so over what’s next appears to be here to stay for a while. This has been giving me a great deal of restlessness like everyone else lately, the fear that it’s never going to end. But luckily again, once more, I was able to appreciate whilst preparing this set how liberating this state of flux can be too. When you just let go and sail on, magic begins to happen. Or at least, even if it doesn’t, it’s a good endowment to be able to self-hypnotise yourself - so long as it makes you feel better as a person, and the world around you a better place to be in. The aim is to create the perfect environment for dreamers and music lovers to surrender totally to the music, providing instead of a dancefloor, a cosy listening space filled with carpets, matresses and pillows for the audience to leave its physical body and flow with the music. 

We provide an intrauterine atmosphere and deep contemplative music for a full psychedelic experience.

First single from the album "Damien est vivant" (Release: Mar 29).

In the wake of a profound loss, Marie Klock, a neo-chanson singer and multi-instrumentalist from Paris, presents a poignant tribute with her debut on Pingipung. On “Damien est vivant” Marie Klock pays homage to the poet Damien Schultz, who has recently passed. They were intertwined both in artistic collaboration and deep friendship. 

Marie Klock creates a powerful ode to Damien Schultz's surreal, anarchic, witty and at times provocatively obscene French (English translations are included in the vinyl release). The poet's own voice resounds alongside Klock's, oscillating between spoken word and neo-folk vocals. Recorded in an intimate lo-fi setting with co-producer Julien Louvet, the 10 songs are far from a mournful requiem. They showcase idiosyncratic pop music brimming with humour and absurdity. “Damien est vivant” is a celebration of the unique bond they shared, in past and present. The melancholy sometimes takes on an almost whimsical quality, an allusion to the world as perceived through the lens of two kindred spirits. 

Marie Klock has appeared as keyboardist on international stages with Sofia Portanet and collaborated with artists such as Jean-Louis Costes, Chilly Gonzales, Charlotte Brandi and Adrienne Pauly. Her self-titled solo LP (2020, Les Disques De La Face Cachée) was a cheeky outing of her synth-chanson act. She is currently working on a duo album with Anadol, to be released on Pingipung in autumn 2024.

 “Damien est vivant” will be released on Good Friday 2024. Marie Klock will present the album in live ceremonies.

Earthly Measures & Multi Culti come together to present their first release on new collaborative label 'Cult Measures' - First up is Jinje & A Brief Utopia's - 'We Invisible' - a deep, cosmic, experimental 8 track LP with Afro percussion & Jazz influences - perfect for home listening and peak dance-floor in equal measures.

With records out on Mesh, Ostgut Ton, Different, Messrs Kick & Drum, SceneUnseen and his own label, Making Friends, Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm) has been making headway with his solo project in the electronic music scene. As the founding member and main song writer of Vessels (Cuckundoo, BIAS/Leaf, Different/PIAS) he has been DJ’ing and performing live for over two decades.

A Brief Utopia (A project by Jinjé) A Brief Utopia was born from an EP released earlier this year by Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm from Vessels) on Scene Unseen. Stepping away from his usual production duties and focusing more on his passion for live drumming and percussion instruments. This was the starting block for much of the composition on the this record. He quickly realised that this would be a brilliant thing to do live and reached out to fellow musicians Danny Templeman (Submotion Orchestra, Gentleman’s DubClub) and Nathan Moseley (Fwar, Brolin) to put together a high energy show aimed at clubs and festivals alike.A Brief Utopia brings a colourful, vibrant and visually engaging experience. Drawing on a love of music from around the world focused through a lens of live drumming, tuned percussion and psychedelic synth work
