This track was inspired by having been on both sides of unrequited love. 

My most recent serious romance was where my love was unrequited. And previously, in a different relationship, I had been the one unable to meet someone where they were at romantically.

I spent a few hours late one night crafting up an emotional instrumental, and stumbled upon this vocal on Splice. I pitched it up, arranged it, and voila, a track was born.

I love liquid drum and bass, but I also like something with a bit more power. Hopefully this is a good representation of that vision.

Effervescent

My vision here was a drum and bass representation of the feeling of nostalgia. As I look back on the past, there's a desire to go back. This desire - the nostalgia - is a strange mixture of sadness, yearning, and gratitude. My girlfriend at the time thought of the name when we were staying in Brooklyn while listening to the final mix and master on laptop speakers. I hopefully transmitted via powerful saw synth chords and a less than traditional dnb beat.

This track was inspired by Jason Hasai (https://soundcloud.com/djhasai). He sent me a sketch of initial chords and an atmosphere.
