Essa faixa parte da interpretação intensa de Nina Simone em Black is the Color para construir um espaço sonoro de techno melódico e progressivo. Os vocais originais aparecem de forma fragmentada e processada, funcionando mais como textura do que como centro narrativo. Sobre eles, camadas de sintetizadores atmosféricos e arpejos sutis criam um movimento gradual, enquanto a base rítmica progride com cadência constante. O resultado é uma faixa expansiva, que equilibra delicadeza vocal e densidade eletrônica, conduzindo o ouvinte por um percurso que preserva a carga emocional da obra original dentro de uma estética de pista.

This track takes Nina Simone’s powerful interpretation of Black is the Color as its foundation to craft a progressive and melodic techno soundscape. The original vocals are fragmented and processed, serving more as texture than as the central narrative. Layered atmospheric synths and subtle arpeggios build a gradual motion, while the rhythmic base unfolds with steady progression. The result is an expansive piece that balances vocal delicacy with electronic density, carrying the emotional weight of the original work into a club-oriented framework.

This set is mostly created with sounds collected from all over the world, in order to add an ethnic feeling to my livesets. 
I did not take time to focus on details or shape the sound too much, so most tracks are yet unfinished and it has a very spontaneous vibe to me. 
Thus I rather consider the set as a "preview" of what might come out soon. Still decided to upload it though, to challenge my terrible lack of musical output;)

Magit Cacoon returns to Rebellion with her second EP, History In The Makin’ . A brace of hypnotic originals supply dreamlike soundscapes, with LA-based DAVI remixing second track Aussi into a deep technoid realm. 

A slow forming construction builds around a sturdy sub-bass and unrelenting perc line for the opener, History In The Makin’ . Magit reveals, “the hypnotic, melodic repetition that concentrates itself on the vocal keeps one in the moment, in a crimson red frame of mind... warmth stemming from the beats do not take the fascination off the words sung but instead accompany them, making the track whole.” 

Second track Aussi leads with dynamic hat programming, as a calm, spoken vocal sends this already trippy cut into a something transcendent. DAVI ’s remix possess more bounce from the off, as he switches Magit’s minimalistic trip into a deep and techy groover. 

The Berlin-based producer/DJ began her electronic journey in her homeland, Tel-Aviv. She started Girl Unit in 2011 and has furnished labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep In Sound, Variety Music, and Muna Muzik with her hypnotic sound, plus released her debut album Other Dimension in 2015 on Upon You Records.

Born in the USA and raised in Israel, David—better known by his stage name TIME AFTER TIME—is a global ambassador for underground electronic music. With a career spanning over a decade, his unique sound bridges cultures and continents, blending Mediterranean influences with Brooklyn’s raw underground energy. His musical range flows from organic house to melodic deep, ethnic house, and minimal house, delivering transcendent sets that cross borders and connect deeply with audiences.

Whether performing at iconic gatherings like Burning Man or in intimate underground venues worldwide, TIME AFTER TIME creates sonic journeys that leave a lasting imprint on the dance floor.

David has shared stages with internationally respected artists such as Holmar (Acid Tourist, Thugfucker), Kenny Glasgow, Quentin Harris, Mike Nervous (Nervous Records), and many more.

Currently, David is working on a new release inspired by his Moroccan roots, blending the vocals of Romanian singer Costel Biju and Moroccan singer Joe Amer—an artist he grew up listening to. This project seeks to take organic deep house on a cultural journey that weaves diverse traditions into one cohesive sound.

David’s passion for the underground extends beyond his performances. He is the founder of FriendZone NYC, a leading underground after-party series that has become a cornerstone of New York’s electronic music scene, consistently bringing together top-tier international talent in the true spirit of underground culture.

Additionally, he is the visionary behind Savage NYC, a groundbreaking platform that unites artists, fans, and creators, weaving the fragmented pieces of New York’s underground into one vibrant community.
