&#8220;Sub Shaper&#8221; falls just right side of moody, with it&#8217;s brooding, dramatic tones and bombastic bass. With plenty of jack for your dance floor, it layers percussion in thick layers, driven by unrelenting male vocals and a trademark Ramon Tapia rhythm.

&#8220;Asteroid&#8221; is based on a driving bass line that glues the track together, the mysterious background mood is one of electric weirdness, with searching synths spiraling in the foreground and nagging effects disappearing off into space.

Bondage-Music head honchos Pornbugs prep the labels next release for early April comprising three original tracks and a remix from Mihai Popoviciu. Since 2006, German duo Pornbugs have been pushing their minimal yet ambitious dance floor orientated house music through clubs across the globe, with their label Bondage-Music acting as a catalyst for forward thinking music. Bondage-Music also works as an outlet for other talented producers including Romania’s Mihai Popoviciu and inmotion music signee Markus Homm to further develop their sound. Fresh from a string of early 2017 digital releases from Frink and Sous Sol, April sees Bondage-Music’s first vinyl offering of the year, kick started with the subtle and melodic cut “When You Are gone“, which takes a deep groove and laces it with a plethora of soft synths and atmospherics. Mihai Popoviciu then reworks “When You Are gone“ into a different entity, rewiring a headier groove into the track with raw-defined hats, building further tension with tight synth stabs and ethereal pads. Vinyl Only Track “Innocent“ then takes tribal tinged percussion to new depths, fuelling it with booming kicks and flourishing chords, further intensified by swirling vocals. A pure dub aesthetic then shines through “Maritza“, as saturated drums and a rumbling low end provide the skeleton for swelling synths to meander alongside spiritual vocals, closing out the package.

A year after ‘Together / That’s Right’, long-time friends and sonic sparring partners Steve Bug and Cle return to Rejected with two more statements of timeless intent that tap into the classic foundations of true techno story telling.

Long builds, emotional chords, layers and narrative twists are the devils in the detail as the pair present another couple of ageless hypnotic trips: The craftily titled ‘Tweaky Blinders’ takes the lead with its sombre one stroke chords whispering over the robust kicks and salubrious subs while the wily acid flurries between the spaces. Stately, immersive and coded with sentiment; drop it and watch the crowd march in unison.

The equally wryly titled ‘Bark Side Of The Moog’ follows suit. Once again there’s a solemn air to the chords as they sway with pensive poignancy. This time the drum arrangement is much more full frontal and unavoidable. Rolling with a sense of momentum that’s almost mid 90s prog in its energy, shine and behaviour, yet again Steve and Cle have nailed the timeless feel. Hopefully this will become an annual thing and they’ll return to Rejected for another round this time next year….

Swedish DJ Adeline lands on Crosstown Rebels with You*re Sick, a diverse four track release that features a stunning remix from Rex Club regular D’Julz.

The EP opens with the title track You*re Sick. Pronounced kicks merge with subtle pads, as an enchanting vocal sample whispers along. Bubble-like pops are brought in alongside intermittent hi-hats, creating a real dance-floor ready record. The D’Julz dub comes next. Staying true to the original, the addition of an electro-like breakdown builds energy, before that addictively-good kick is brought back in. Dust To Bone is a fast-paced minimal thumper, that takes no prisoners as it moves along with a wholesome bassline and softly driving percussion, before Rite De Passage rounds off the EP with powerful pads and warm keys.

Brought up in the rolling Swedish countryside, Adeline is a DJ, producer and vocalist whose talents reach far further than the DJ booth. Having founded electronic music duo Housewives with La Fleur in 2006, Adeline has gone on to release standout productions on the likes of Culprit and Kindisch Records. D’Julz is an artist whose presence in the scene has been felt for decades. For twenty two years, the French native has been running the now legendary “Bass Culture” night at Rex Club, and has hosted some of the scenes most respected DJs in recent times, including Seth Troxler, Sonja Moonear and Nicolas Lutz.

Markus Homm is back on Still Hot and once again proves impressively that he is a guarantor for deep groovy dance floor tunes.

The title track “Pleasure” gets a hypnotic note from an Arpeggio building up in the background, paired with a distinctive drum groove that goes straight into the legs. 
The female vocal, which gives the track a certain recognizability, also picked up by label boss Benny Grauer for his version of “Pleasure”. The Arpeggio reduced and equipped with a striking bassline, he gives the track a technoid touch.

The second original track "Golden Horizon" is way darker than the title track. The almost mystical sounds are accompanied by a crunchy bass drum and surely made for a lot of fun on the afterhour.
Vinyl fans can already look forward to the third original track "Dakar", which will be available only on vinyl.
