The demure appearance of Romanian artist Praslea belies his deep involvement in the music industry. With his name appearing on top events, especially in his home town of Bucharest, circa 2007, Florin Cunțan is a certified don of our scene. Having been inducted into the [a:pia:r] clique from an early age his “Jurnal De Bord” EP way back in 2009 he has hardly been prolific, but this is not where his real talent lies. With his solo credentials above reproach, it is par for the course for Praslea and his peers to perform together even at the biggest of events. So, it is hardly surprising that two artists from this family should join forces on the regular and that partnership is Praslesh. Not wishing to over comment on this duo, this does, however, go some way to explain the level of skill that Florin commands. This week we welcome Cap to the mix series. Schooled in the world of Romanian minimal and house, these-days you'll often find him behind the scene's most revered booths and parties from Club Guesthouse to NYC's ReSolute and Amsterdam's VBX but to name a few.

A hypnotic DJ, he possess depth, groove and impressive musical breadth, sliding between house, techno, minimal and plenty more with mischievous ease.  He spins at Dimensions for the first time this summer, and if this classy 80 minutes is anything to go by, we're in for a serious treat.

London’s very own groove master Demi Riquisimo brings forth 005 for his relentlessly class ‘Semi Delicious’ label. A various artist compilation with, alongside an absolute weapon from Demi himself, superb disco-ready rhythms from Jive Talk, Kassian and Vhyce.

Alongside the rolling drum kit samples, Demi layers cosmic lasers, 70’s clavinet and bucket loads of rolling basslines with this Afro re-edit! Vhyce’s disco chops meet retro 80’s synth arpeggios and huge filtering drops that will bring a slice of retro euphoria to your record bag.

On the flip, ‘Midnight District Line’ from Kassian takes a ride through the city with a rolling filter house workout. No unnecessary bits in this stripped back club weapon. Jive Talk bring ‘UK Gary’, a reedit teeming with expression from its live jazz drum sampling and sassy female vocals. Eclecticism is the keyword when it comes to the musical taste of LUZ1E. Mostly known for her spirited and soulful New York House she has made herself a name in the realms of fast-paced breaks and Techno. Either way, LUZ1E brings together everything that has that certain punchy power to it.

Having jumped onto the scene in 2017 with her vinyl debut on Lobster Theremin's import label UGONGETIT, LUZ1E appears to have taken a bit of hiatus last year - only releasing the tune "Sonic Measurements" as part of a compilation on German label Ghetto Traxx.

Luckily for us, 2020 marks the return of the maestro. LUZ1E joins the Shall Not Fade family with the punchy "Ridin" EP. ‘We have the pleasure of debuting the title track from the release, which blends soulful House sounds with fast Breaks and Techno to create a unique punchy hybrid sound of futuristic dance music.
