For doing this mix, I took an example from Walrus' earlier FPM radio show and decided to focus on playing unreleased music by friends and myself. There's some people I know well who contributed tracks, some who reached out from way further to share their music. I tried to vary the pace a bit more than what I usually do playing vinyl. The only previously released track here is Sense of Danger by Presence. A track that marked 2022 deeply for me. Shara Nelson's incredible vocal performance on it has become one of my favorite tearjerkers of all time. MDW 2023 - Day 5 with Valerio Della Notte

Rupert Marnie, a Hamburg-based DJ and producer, crafts a unique sound at the intersection of proto-techno, sci-fi soundscapes, acid-tinged exotica, UK breaks, and electro blends. Co-founder of The Press Group label and Remoto Records store, Marnie draws inspiration from diverse sources, infusing his productions with an eclectic mix of influences. His sets, often showcased at Hamburg's Golden Pudel and other notable venues, are a whirlwind of styles ranging from minimal to Detroit electro and breakbeat. For the Locked-In Amsterdam podcast series, Marnie delivers a vinyl-only mix recorded at Remoto Records, featuring his favourite electro, minimal, and acid-infused house tracks.

It's been a while since we posted our last podcast, nonetheless the wait has been more than worthwile. This time we asked the two German deejays/producers to provide some elevating beats for our series. Bodin and Jacob played themselves in the spotlight through recent mixes and productions and as such very much earned a spot for themselves right here.

The guys don't go for half work either. For the podcast they dug out an 80's analog mixer for juicing up the recording to the fullest. Respect! So get your head ready for some crate diggers delight and contemporary funk from these two talented german players. We're looking forward to seing them develop the coming years.
