Mrmaked makes his debut on Timeless Records with a "rediscovered" recording aesthetic, like a fragment of a lost broadcast.

This project begins during the “Bakkano” art festival, a T.A.Z. in a park that was occupied against the construction of a large infrastructure in Bologna. Three days of installations, concerts, workshops and dances. In those days Mrmarked composed 32 minutes of music which was played on cassette at the end of the big party on Saturday night, late in the morning under the summer sun. 
Three tracks of the four in "Good Morning" EP were extracted from this recording (tracks 1,2,4).

The third track (Bad Orientation) comes from a jam recorded between Mrmaked, Jules Bonnot and tabache at the Lazzaretto squat in Bologna. The jam was entirely recorded through an old cassette player because the sound card for the multitrack suddenly stopped working. Also in this track are melodic sequences that Mrmaked had prepared during the T.A.Z. days in June; which were played over the organic rhythms of Jules Bonnot, and then everything was reworked by tabache in post-production.

The E.P. It's characterized by dense, grainy sound textures, and the tape adds that dirty warmth that makes everything more alive and physical. The improvisational, almost ritualistic approach is strong, with vintage synths that move between ethereal atmospheres and marked rhythmic impulses. Mrmaked sound lies between lo-fi ambient, minimal synth and a touch of primitive industrial.

“Il Pescatore di Perle”, somehow inspired by W. Benjamin's reflections on Philosophy of History, is a tricky experiment that tries to combine two apparently quite different approaches. On one side you’ll find a totally analog approach made of extremely reverberated and almost unrecognizable guitars, mostly played with a violin bow; acoustic basses full of distortions and a few random percussions combined together in the same rhythmical patterns. At the opposite side of this instinctive approach you’ll find a sort of linearity made out of a methodical looping approach. Therefore, instruments that don’t belong necessarily to the repertoire of electronic music are dragged into this world. This process denaturalize the instruments until it seems they’re no longer the same. This is a sort of “constellation” and it appears and disappears in a blink of an eye.
