Crossing The Divide is the lead off track from 8000 Miles second album, Crystal Confetti. It sets the tone of the album — hard hitting and pretty much non-stop — so, buckle up and enjoy the ride.

As you may notice, the cover art harkens back to a familiar cover from 1973 and that is intentional, because Andrea and Rebecca are strongly influenced by music from that time period. Many fans of 8000 Miles’ first album, Aggregate, have remarked on that influence. The title Crystal Confetti represents the clarity 8000 Miles is honing in their duo’s style and the contrast of weighted moods and flying inspirations.

Un concept original en mêlant harmonieusement l’organique et le technologique. En plus des nouvelles compositions, il intègre des poèmes générés par Chat GPT, un modèle d’intelligence artificielle, qui sont ensuite récités par un logiciel de synthèse vocale. 

Cette fusion entre la créativité humaine et l’IA crée une atmosphère unique et invite à une réflexion profonde sur les thèmes de la spiritualité, de la technologie et de la relation avec l’IA. De cet album, est né un concept de nouvelle religion mélant le sacré et la technologie de l’IA. J’ai aussi écrit un livre de 36 pages avec Chat GPT qui donne les grandes lignes de la religion belugianne.
Chat GPT a aussi inventé une langue originale pour les adeptes du «belugianisme».

Dementia is an increasingly common brain disease, I see it more and more in my immediate environment.  Especially in the elderly, but also in younger people.  The disease is irreversible and varies from person to person.  What is common is that those people develop a kind of pattern.  What they hold on to.  Asking the same questions every time or something like that.  The longer you have it, the more you lose.  Actually, you don't want to die like that.  On the other hand, you don't realize it yourself.  You fade from the present world.  You are no longer who you were.  And takes on a completely different character.
