Times Two DJ's @ Studio - 20/08/2011

Times Two DJ’s is a DJ duo composed by Miguel Enes (Gordon Shumway / Enes Brothers) and Renato Gonçalves (Underscore / DJ Ren). The main idea behind this project is to give you the best techno experience you can ever have :)
Playing with 4 decks, 2 mixers, some proper apparel and a whole lot of will to mix! From deep house warm ups to minimal techno, we just love music!

Renato Gonçalves, 29 years old (16/05/1981) – DJ Ren | Underscore

Since his 16 that works with Dance Planet (www.danceplanet.com) the biggest Portuguese company dedicated to the DJ and Music production market, so, he started very soon to follow the evolution of DJ Gear.
At 19 plays his first time, techno, in one of the biggest clubs in Oporto city at that time – Rocks Club. Two years later he started mixing Psy Trance and from there to the big stages of nowadays was a short step due to his technical evolution and music selection. Having played in the biggest parties like Freedom, Boom Festival, and the biggest outdoor trance parties, Renato holds in his belt a huge experience playing Live. Renato teaches DJ’s at PlanetDeejay (Danceplanet DJ courses) and is a Label DJ For MMD Records (South Africa). He also has his solo Techno/Minimal project – Underscore and has been playing frequently in the best clubs in Oporto like, Pitch-Club, Gare and Villa Club.

Miguel Enes, 25 years old (22/01/1985) – Gordon Shumway | Enes Brothers

Miguel had his first contact with electronic music at the age of 15 by his older brother. When they finally got some experience selecting music, they decided to start buying deejay equipment to create their own studio at home. Together, for two years they mixed and mixed until the techniques were perfected mostly with progressive / psychedelic trance.

In the middles of 2000, Miguel meets Manuel Faria, aka, DJ James Bong and together they practice DJing at home and play in some bars in Ribeira do Porto, a very traditional bar area in the city.
Later on, they start being invited to bigger, open air parties. From north, to south, Miguel plays as DJ Nävel. It’s then when his first music production project appears, Melmac - inspired on the TV Series: “Alf, the extraterrestrial”.
Miguel, as dj, spreads his appetite for music to other styles, he now plays techno/minimal/tribal house, with some break beats.

In 2005 he started working together as dj with Men@work. A party organization in the city of porto who worked with the biggest clubs, such as Hard Club, Swing Club, Porto Rio, among others.
At the moment, Miguel is producing music as Gordon Shumway, doing a wide variety of House/Minimal music styles, playing on a monthly basis at Pitch-Club (www.pitch-club.com) and now belongs to the record label 24hours Records.
