A lot has happened since Ramiro Lopez took his first steps in music. Already at a young age, he spent all his days listening to radio programs and compilations, but in 1996 he started to share his passion for music around Spain's clubs. Working as a DJ prior to becoming a producer, he introduced himself slowly into the national circuit, acquiring skills on the turntables and learning how to lead the dance floor. Growing popularity led him to be part of Toledo's Family Club for several years and experimenting with different styles there every week alongside international recognised artists.

His musical creativity and innovation has always been latent though out his life. In around 2006, Ramiro made the leap to music production, researching and acquiring knowledge, experiences, sharing concerns with other artists and gradually defining his melody. Creation became a way of life for Ramiro and he is now unstoppable, working to get better every single day. His wholehearted dedication at work is obtaining great results releasing on: Drumcode (“Clap Your Hands” alongside Coyu), INTEC (“This & That” it was included within Carl Cox’s “New Year Weapons” published by Mixmag), Octopus Recordings, Toolroom Trax, Terminal M, SCI + TEC, Bedrock (Nicole Moudaber remixed his banger “That’s Not Happening”), Cecille, Noir, Defected or Tronic amongst many others.  And of course he is an active part in Sincopat and the Suara platform, as well as alongside Arjun Vagale, the head honcho of the brand new label Odd Recordings.

The wheel never stops and Ramiro is constantly evolving, involved in many projects, collaborating with great artists.  His highest desire - to make people live and enjoy what they listen to while he is at work in the booth, keeps him busy on the road touring all around the world. Ramiro Lopez is without a doubt an important part of the new wave of Spanish artists and one to bet on.

On January 22nd I played my only gig in January, yes, thanks to the omicron wave we had to deal with loads of cancellations once more beginning of this year. But I do think this pandemic is soon over, the world opens up again and we will see us more and more on the dance floor. Nevertheless that one gig that I played in January was an absolute treat. It was for @blackworksclub at the venue La Rivera in Madrid and I am not sure exactly what it was, but the night was a total blast. What a crowd! For those who were there and read this now, thanks so much for those awesome vibes! You went totally wild, jumped on top of each other and didn’t stop raving and smiling, not even only for a minute. What an energy in that place, kind of made up for all the non happening gigs that month. Thank you so much. I hope that comes across in the recording. This is the second of three hours that I played there, hope you enjoy the set!

Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno. Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre's leading labels, including institutions such as Soma, Cocoon & Drumcode, his own BEK Audio imprint and - most recently - Patrick Topping’s Trick label. 


With a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and two Boiler Room sessions under his belt, as well as featured music on BBC 1 Drama ‘Stonemouth' and numerous collaborations with artists like MR. G, GreenVelvet, Debra Debs, Mark Broom and Speedy J, Gary has been an undeniably formidable force since hitting the scene in 2007.


His seminal 2012 debut album 'Bring a Friend', was championed by the legendary Soma Records label, marking their 100th release. The years that followed left a kaleidoscopic trail of releases spanning a multitude of studio skills, influences, styles and aliases including the house driven grooves of Tanera; to the relentlessly harder sounds of Sosak. Gary’s second full length album under his own name 'Dal Riata' dropped in November 2019, followed by a series of incredible releases including this year’s Submarine and Supervan EPs - with even more to come. 


Gary’s renowned for his incendiary live sets, destroying dancefloors across the globe including Tokyo’s Womb, Fabric London, Awakenings, T in the Park, Spazio in Rome, Output NYC, Printworks, and Timewarp, to name a few. On top of a formidable touring schedule, Beck heads up BEK Audio, an imprint which has quickly become one of the most revered techno labels on the scene. Now approaching its 52nd release, the label boasts an impressive roster of artists including Floorplan, Mark Broom, Slam, DJ Rush & Ritzi Lee.

🔴 Episode #37 feels electrifying as it comes with a blessing from one of the Techno Godfathers. There are not many other Techno music heroes like DJ Rush for us! We totally agree with Daft Punk and their track “Teachers”, considering Rush a hallmark in the industry. Having his support really means the world to us (remember his “Let Me Here You” on Supporter Series Vol. 003?).
Now he also recorded an energetic DJ set exclusively for our podcast series, proving once more why his name is synonymous with the original and real Techno!
