p diddy feat usher and loon - i need a girl pt 1

This song was released in 2002. It contains samples from the song "Very Special" by Debra & Ronnie Laws which was released in 1981. I always enjoyed the song and it had been a while since I heard it. I didn't want to take the initial feel away but rather give you my opinion. I tried not to over produce, I slowed it down to give it a more emotional feel but added the busy drums to balance it out. I also re sampled some pieces of the original song for the intro and outro aswell as add one extra synth to give it a hint of new melody. This was my absolute jam in 2004. I used to wear it out back when Scott Storch was my favorite producer. Benzi reached out to me a while back about remixing it and I knew it had to be done right. I really tried to give this track the feeling it gave me when I first heard it. Nothing too over the top, just smooth and sexy. The 808s really hit on this one. I think it's perfect for Valentine's Day.
