Whenever I listen to this mix, I have flashbacks to my university hours spent in the company of extremely boring and unimportant speeches and discussions about nothing, while my mind wandered in the limbo of preserved memories and visions, breaking through the stream of thoughts that never belonged to me in the first place.

Time bends a little when you travel, or at least this selection makes that feeling more vivid.   

‘I made it before I went away for a holiday at my parents. I wanted to make a mix for a road-trip and I think that’s how it turned out. And we were listening to this sort of music a lot in my dads car when driving around that week’. 

Artur Strekalov a.k.a mu tate (@mutate3k), is a UK-based ambience producer, original from Latvia. He’s the mind behind ‘Let me put myself together’, a notable record published this year on @triplexlarge, and also the host of the mix series ‘Inexact’ on @radiosygma.
