We've been following the sound of our next guest for quite a while, so we're all the happier to welcome him to our down.cast series today. 

We're talking about @varuu, who weaves tracks together in his very own way, taking the listener on a wondrous journey.

When he's not behind the decks, he also acts as an organizer, for example with his new monthly event series Paradise Garage. We wish you lots of fun with the next 90 minutes of downtempo music.

Stellt euch vor ihr seid draußen und es wird Abend. 
Die fröhlich - ulkige Glitzerstimmung des Tages mit seinem lächerlich blauen Himmel weicht erst dem Wind, dann einer diesigen Gesamtstimmung.
Es ist noch nicht Nacht, aber die ersten Lichteffekte bahnen sich bereits ihren Weg durch das graue Nichts. Es zieht kurz zu. 
Hier und dort flackern die ersten Lichteffekte auf.
Sie wirken nicht bedrohlich, aber sie halten sich mit ihrer Botschaft auch nicht zurück: Ihr wisst, was jetzt kommt. Dafür seid ihr hier. Habt keine Angst, wir sind bei euch.
Plötzlich ein Fluchen: "Wir wollten doch die lange Kabeltrommel dahin haben, und die nicht solange dafür dahin." 
Stille. Ups. Irgendwie sind auch meine Kippen innä' Bauchtasche nassgeworden. Hat´s geregnet? Ist doch nur diesig?
 
Das ist der Punkt, an dem es immer jemanden gibt, der das Kabeltrommel - Dilemma doch noch irgendwie lösen konnte UND noch 'ne Schachtel Kippen dabei hatte. 

Puh, gerade nochmal gut gegangen. Schnell aufn' Floor, Ody fängt gleich an. Das graue Wetter verschwindet mit dem Einsetzen der Dunkelheit und wir tanzen unter sternklarem Himmel. 

Morgens hab' ich dann auch ausversehen Bier über die Kabeltrommeln verschüttet.

Klingt kitschig - ist aber so!

Als gebürtiges Nordlicht, seit einigen Jahren in Mittelhessen gestrandet, hat LEXI eine vielschichtige musikalische Reise hinter sich. Während der Pandemie hat sie mit zwei Freunden ein Kollektiv gegründet und wurde so zuerst zur Veranstalterin und dann auch selbst zum Artist. Von Anfang an war ihre größte Inspiration zu sehen wie Musik Menschen bewegen und Momente kreieren kann.

Genre fluid bewegt sich LEXI von Melodic, über Tech House hin zu moderatem peaktime Techno. Während sie es liebt live an den Decks mit strammen, abwechslungsreichen beats die Tanzfläche zum Brennen zu bringen, nutzt sie durch ihre Podcasts die Möglichkeit mit progressiveren und atmosphärischen sounds zu spielen und euch mit auf eine klangvolle und treibende Reise zu nehmen. 

Viel Spaß dabei, wir freuen uns Lexi im Team zu haben!

Das Ding sitzt wie ein kaltes Bier zum Frühstück: Es geht direkt ins Blut, hebt die Laune, es ist
gehaltvoll für Kopf und Körper gleichermaßen – und es macht Lust auf mehr. Deshalb funktioniert die
erste PopHop EP auf der Heimanlage genauso gut wie da, wo der sympathisch durchgeknallte
Mecklenburger seinen Heimathafen hat: Auf einer gut gefüllten Tanzfläche. Mit bemerkenswertem
Feingefühl für seine erdigen Instrumentierungen und wunderbar draufgängerischer Attitüde im Bass-
und Rhythmusbereich schickt er uns hier dreimal auf die Reise. Dabei sind die Trompete von
JPattersson und die Gitarrenakkorde von Aeksel quasi das melodische I-Tüpfelchen auf dem Wort
Reise, und sogar im zweistelligen BPM Bereich geht es mit PopHop ordentlich nach vorne.

good on a home sound system as it does where this charmingly eccentric character from the North
