As if often the case with my creations, I wrote this song a little over a year ago but it’s ready to crawl out of its shell now! Inspired by my frustrations with people (a neverending source of great songs), the song started out with the guitar riff I wrote that then turned into a key sample that carries the song throughout the whole ride. It’s fun, it’s energetic & slightly wonky, a direct fusion of various genres the way I like it. The title of the song ‘troika’, a word I remember vividly from from my childhood, acts as a symbol of the effort you have to put into dealing with certain people, almost like a horse pulling a heavy sleigh in the rain & the mud. The answer is to trust yourself more, to love yourself more, because in the end there are only few people ready to be there for you when you need it the most. Love yourself, protect yourself, save yourself.
