This is a recording project that I had the privilege of playing for in July 2010. Unfortunately the band is no longer... but the sound is amazing. A freak bass player who taps/slaps/dances around a 6-string bass, a talented multi-instrumentalist supplying sax and keys parts, a smoking hot voice from Germany, and myself providing the drums/percussion. There never has been, and never will be anything like it.

All the drum tracks are live acoustic drums - there are no electronic samples, and no over-dubbing. This was done so that the parts would be easy for me to reproduce at gigs without having to lug a laptop around!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on what band/s that Elvish sounds like... I've heard a lot of suggestions, all of them different, all of them valid.

I did a demo session for Kieran a few years back - he wrote some nice solid acoustic rock numbers. The other songs on the CD were in a similar vein. Standard Recording Custom 6-piece setup with 2 floor toms, and Meinl cymbals - 16" and 17" Byzance crashes, 22" Spectrum ride and 14" Zildjian New Beats.

I am totally blessed to be able to work and draw my sanity from music and drumming. I'm a freelance drummer/percussionist, drum and percussion instructor, and music consultant. I can't imagine going through a day without picking up the sticks - it's an itch I can't quite scratch. 

I have a Bachelor of Science from USC and completed a Master of Music at QUT in 2009. I'm also planning to commence a Doctorate in Creative Industries in the near future through QUT. I am currently being taught and mentored by drumming legend, Grant Collins. <

I'm based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. Probably the best place in the world to live! I go to Hope Church in Kawana Waters, pastored by Tom Conwell.
