WHe are back after a bit of a holiday WHeekend hiatus... WHelcome.  WHelcome.  WHELCOME!

this WHeek i am offering a double-up of tracks, mixes and content in order to keep you WHoyal WHimsters satiated WHith aural pleasure.

since WHe WHere away for an extra WHeek, a few extra WHelcomes are being extended to some WHeally great party folk.  WHe are adding a few more from the bison family this WHeek (more on that later); say WHatup to christina behrens and to the conor irvine.  conor's crazy brother-in-law blair also joins us.  j whorley joins us from san diego, a coachella party vet. the genesis of this WHeekly newsletter started WHith a group that attended the [[ kaskade ]] show at staples center last summer and i think that all of us WHo have ever seen kaskade live have a special WHittle place for his tracks.  i know his set at coachella 2012 turned me into an instant fan and i have not looked back.  here kaskade reWHorks his popular track [[ eyes ]] and lays it onto some magic from [[ julian jeweil ]] for [[ air conditionne eyes (kaskade's redux mashup) ]].  i want to sing this track while flying peter pan style through the clouds at dusk.... come join me.

[[ jimmy burns ]] drops his remix skills on [[ banana cannon ]] from [[ robotic pirate monkey ]].  needed to pick up the bpm from that kaskade track and this should help get you popping a bit... a little bit trill, a little bit trappy... bounce them shoulders bitch...

stepping back toWHard the big room house style, i bring you this freshly baked bun of hotness from a young producer WHo also attending the bucknell university.  [[ doug bogan ]] has been mashing up tracks since his early days in the frat house and i think WHe can all agree that he is onto something here WHith [[ too late... it's summertime ]].

[[ kdrew ]] aka [[ kevin drew ]] drops in with a touch of a harder style on this [[ vicetone ]] track [[ stars ]] featuring vocals from [[ jonny rose ]].  it's a WHonderful mix of dubby trap bass and big room dance style, WHith some great builds.  not to mention homeboy is from the home state of nj... showing you some love kdrew.

oh shit!  [[ feel your pulse ]] by [[ camo & krooked ]] gets the [[ mind vortex remix ]] treatment.  this song makes you feel like you are scared as shit and are riding your bike furiously fast through a field of laser beams... no?  some mortal kombat type shit...  it's cool if you have to skip to the end of this one...

dropping in this next track because it reminds me of being on senior WHeek in hilton head, sc after junior year.  [[mr. brightside ]] WHas the anthem of the WHeek and here [[ mitch lj & hohme ]] mash with [[ the killers ]] for [[ panman vs. mr. brightside ]].  put the top down, turn up the volume and sing the WHords.  you know 'em.

there is something i like about these vocals by [[ smallpools ]] on [[ dreaming ]], and with the [[ chainsmokers ]] dropping in some electro beats.  it is definitely a WHinning combo.

bigger.  harder.  faster.  [[ chuckie ]] offers his [[ dada titanium voices mashup ]] of [[ zedd ]] vs. [[ bingo players ]] [[ spectrum vs. out of my mind ]].  WHoa, that WHas a mouthful.  WHe have heard these vocals at shows and festivals and WHe have sung along at the top of our lungs...

for the last two tracks, i am going to WHeach back into my 'like-library.'  these are sounds that remind me of my tahomies and i WHanted to throw out a few different style tracks for y'all.  first is [[ yoga pants]] from [[ minnesota ]], a dude that WHas in heavy rotation in the tahoe music circle.  it's super trill and a touch twerky...

Quickie from us: "So its really great when coincidences and fate find each other, because that is what happened… We absolutely were in love with this summer anthem by smallpools, it reeked of fresh cut grass and the afternoon sun... So when their ppl reached out to us about doing a remix it was the easiest decision ever. We can't say it wasn't a challenge though with such a strong vocal, but we really wanted to pin it up against the classic 'house music pluck' we have been hearing so much of, but use it in a vain that felt a bit different but still large, but finding that union was tough in the sense the two had to warm up to each other rather than clash... but in the end we think we found this great atmosphere for the song to exist."
