It's been a while since my last upload! I'm back with an orchestral arrangement of an absolute banger of a song 'Idol' by YOASOBI from Oshi no Ko. 

Through my arrangement, I wanted to convey the journey of an idol's innocent ambitions, hopes and dreams being tragically corrupted by the harsh realities of the real world. On stage, an idol has no choice but to smile through all the hardships. The song explores a very interesting idea - if I keep lying to myself and others, will it become a reality?

With her career built upon a fake persona and lies, the guilt and shame slowly eats her alive from the inside. Becoming increasingly desensitised and callous, the idol finds herself struggling to utter the genuine phrase:

"I love you."

The dynamic contrast between the sporadic, loud chaotic sections and quiet sections symbolise her inner thoughts as she struggles to balance between her idol life and personal life. During her down-time of her presenting as an idol, she strives to care for her children with a pure, untainted motherly love.
