Timothy CODE, born Timothy Muhumuza, is an Award Winning Ugandan Hip Hop Artist and Songwriter born in Kampala, Uganda. He is widely considered the Most Promising star on the UG HIP HOP scene. His love for music began at the age of 13. He grew up listening to the likes of Jay Z, Nas, Kanye West, Eminem and locally, Klear Kut. He is a Solo artist with a bit of all genres combined, but his heart lies in Hip Hop. He studied History and Literature in High School and this gave birth to his rapping style which he describes as highly intelligent wordplay and use of a unique flow.

In the year 2012, Timothy CODE released his first song, “SHUT IT DOWN” featuring fellow rising Ugandan star, Essie and in 2013, he went on to deliver an All Star Remix of the same song featuring some of Uganda’s Hip Hop Heavy Weights. In 2014, He made his industry breakthrough in form of a Collaboration with reggae dancehall artist, A Pass on a song called “ENTER THE RING”. 

He then took a break from music to complete his studies at Uganda Christian University where he pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. In 2016, he graduated and joined the Media Industry as a Television Host on Urban Television in Uganda. His first show, THE HOOD was a community based show which gave Timothy a vast amount of real-life experiences that further inspired his music. His second and current TV show is SKIZZY, a Showbiz and Entertainment television show where he has interviewed the biggest Ugandan Celebrities such as Radio and Weasel, Navio and Bobi Wine as well as some of the biggest African artists like Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, Mi Casa, Iyanya, Dj Maphorisa and many more. 

Timothy CODE made a Blazing Return to Music in November 2016 when he delivered the hottest verse on the “VUQA CYPHER”, an All Star Ugandan Cypher featuring 5 Hip Hop Artists namely – Keko, Big Tril, Ruyonga, The Mith and St. Nelly Sade and two dancehall artists – Nutty Neithan and the legendary, Peter Miles. This verse earned him Two UG Hip Hop Awards in 2017 for Sweet 16 (Verse of the Year) and Collaboration of The Year. He also delivered a Show Stopping Performance in August 2017 at Blankets and Wine in Kampala while performing with Nigerian singer and songwriter, Seyi Shay.

In 2018, Timothy CODE has established his own Independent Music Label called THE CROWN ACE and is currently working on his Debut Studio Album called “CROWN DAY” set to be released later on in 2018. He released the first official single off the album called “HOLD ON / LINDAKO” which is currently making the rounds across the Biggest Mainstream Radio Stations in Kampala.
