Anima Mundi Soundtrack

I have always loved this song.  And, though I sing and play guitar, I just realized that I have never posted any of that here.  So here we go!  The song is by George Harrison.  I take credit only for this performance of it, which is significantly leaner and slower than his original.  The chords of the song are stunning, on their own.

This piece, TVC 51, is a musical example of sTVC (in which perceptual locations are manipulated, affecting time- and timbre-related sonics).

Music occupies the intersection of space and time. Musical rhythms divide or mark time; frequencies are determined by vibrations within segments of time (or infinite time); and space affects how sonic events are perceived, while also affecting the frequency and spectra (timbre) of musical sounds.

sTVC—Space-Time-Variant Composition—manipulates the perception of physical spaces from which a given piece seems to be sourced, as experienced by the listener. The juxtapositions are not ones we typically experience. sTVC’s “tour through spaces” in its pieces affects time-related events, e.g., echoes and reverb, which affect the pieces’ sonics. 

sTVC typically shifts the entire sonic landscape, abruptly, from one perceptual space to another (often in rhythm).

This is the soundtrack for the 2019 LMU Holiday Card.  I composed, arranged, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered it.  I will have a copy available soon on iTunes, as well.

Noony By The Clock

Who:
Timothy Law Snyder composes, arranges, performs, produces, mixes, and masters all of his material. It ranges from pop to electronic to metal to dub to new age. (And that's reggae/psychedelic dub--real dub, folks! : ) 

Instruments:
He sings and plays guitars, bass, keyboards, and percussion, including the handmade percussion instruments that dominate "Uncle Wiggly."

Successes:
His tracks have finished well in Indaba Music competitions, including placing all four of his submissions in the Top 25 in the Electronic Musician/Prime Loops Digital Mixtape 2 competition---including the #1 track by popular vote. (Alas, they are out of business, so you cannot relive the action.)

Coming Projects:
Tim is presently working on the track, "Lie for the Kaiser." He is adding vocals in hopes of a metal classic. The track was birthed when he visited a periodontist who lied (through his teeth! : ) amply and amorally. Tim is also going to do a proper mix of "Cold Outside"; the current mix was done hastily because of an unexpected hard drive crash. Comments on the track compare his work to John Lennon, David Bowie, Muse, Sparks, Mott the Hoople, Queen, and Genesis. This is humbling and kind of those who listen and share their thoughts.
