This is very rare, digitized version of Aphex Twin's set at Furthur from 1994. The promoters of the party did not record this -- it was provided to me by a 3rd party / fan on cassette tape and was digitized from that.

This is Side B of a very rare, digitized version of Aphex Twin's set at Furthur from 1994 (Wisconsin). Unfortunately, I received it on cassette tape, so the quality wasn't perfect. In addition, when I digitized it, I noticed a large gap of silence around the 12 minute mark (not sure what happened there), so I faded the mix out, deleted the silence, and faded it back in.

In order to celebrate the 4 year anniversary of POPASUDa, and my own birthday, I’ve laid dow an exclusive mix of Dubplates fmor some of my favorite Jamaican Reggae artists. Check out sounds from Warrior King, foundation sound U Brown, culture heavyweights Esco Levi and Kabaka Pyramid, up comers Dann I Prince Levy, and Casafaya, Lacy Chu, Toronto’s own N Kuruma, and my personal favorite artists right now outta Kingston Jamaica, Lusion.

The name "Stereo Bugscope" refers to a performance system that detects oscillating sounds emitted by the circuitry of electronic devices. It also signifies the act of listening to the electromagnetic world that emerges from the inside of devices such as computers, cell phones, MD players, and wireless routers through the use of two inductive microphones (pickups). The oscillating-circuit sounds come from the IC board and clock, and the electromagnetic noise comes from the electrical current that turns the fan and drives the motor. Waveforms similar to the audio frequencies of electromagnetic leakage, which is faintly emitted from machines, are also released by the inductive coil in a pickup. The sound is then electronically amplified to magnify these signals which are ordinarily so faint as to be inaudible. According to one's position in relation to and distance from the source, changes in the sound can be observed. 

ステレオ・バグスコープ｣は、電子機器内部における回路上の動作発振音を検出するシステム。二つの誘導性マイクロフォン（ピックアップ）を用いて機器回路から発生した電磁界を覗く。 コンピュータ、携帯電話、デジタル・プレーヤー、無線ルータなどの基盤上のIC、クロック、ファン、モーター駆動などによる電磁ノイズを拾う。 機器からかすかに磁気漏れした音声周波数の信号と同様の波形が、ピックアップの誘導コイル内にも発生し、それを電気的に増幅している。これらは通常、不可聴な微弱信号である。発生源との位置、距離の関係により音の変化が観察できる。

1. Karlheinz Stockhausen – ”Ylem  24:15 (Ylem/Stop, by the London Sinfonitta, 1972)
伊伦，宇宙演化论中所假设的最原始物质。
作于1972年，是一首由19个或19人以上演奏的作品。
整个作品概念来源于宇宙震动理论，即宇宙按照有规则的周期进行压缩和膨胀。这种节奏是所有节奏的根源。Ylem 这个词在某种语境下正是指这种周期性的爆炸。
这里听到的是1973年伦敦小交响乐队演奏的版本。词曲也正是为了伦敦小交响乐队73年的巡演而作。
 “演奏者应该闭上眼睛，而指挥不应该用任何身体上的行为去扰乱他们，而是应该站在音乐厅的正中央，高度集中地听！当然有些人会被这种想法吓跑，但那些留下来的人可以一起加入到高度集中聆听中来。
演出时，19名演奏者站在台上，绕着一架没有盖子的钢琴。随着所谓的“声音爆炸”的敲击，10个演奏者跑向观众中，在观众左右两侧的墙壁站好位置。剩下9个演奏者留在台上。在演出结尾时，跑下去的那10个人会重新回到舞台上，聚集在钢琴演奏者周围。第二次“声音爆炸”来临，所有的演奏者都会走下舞台，缓缓走出大厅，但仍在演奏。之前剩下留在台上的9个人则放下先前的大乐器，开始演奏非常小的便携乐器。

2. Ash Ra Tempel & Timothy Leary - Time    21:37 (Seven Up, 1973)
Ash Ra Tempel 这张73年的作品显得有些怪异，Timothy Leary的加入让整张作品充满LSD色彩。这张作品的7首曲子正是按照他的“意识的7个层次”编排（书"Turn on, Turn in, Drop out"），7首曲子分为两部分——非常“摇滚”的空间（space）和非常“氛围”的时间（time）。Time这首歌实际上是专辑Schwingungen 中Suche And Liebe的重新编排，但Timothy Leary让Time变成了she，she，she……时间，是线性发展还是螺旋上升的？听的时候，我会想这个问题，但想着想着就不知道到哪去了。

3. Code III - Formation/Genesis   17:48 (Plannet of Man, 1974)
74年的这张专辑是一段关于地球历史的声音叙述，从虚空到空无一物的太空，再到星球的形成、生命的进化、人类主导地球，而最终又归于虚空。来自原始男女机器人一样的对话，鸟叫，笛声，一段 Granchester Meadows 的插入，加上氛围化的电子配乐，还有若隐若现的女声，让整首歌充满了《2001漫游太空》般怪异的美感。
 
4. Hawkwind - Master of the Universe   07:37 (Space Ritual Disc 2, 1973)
宇宙之主是鹰风数年来的名曲，最早发行于1977年，这里播放的是 Space Ritual 中收录的现场版本。Space Ritual是乐队72年-73年的一次巡演，Bob是这次巡演的核心。Space Ritual 也被认为是 Hawkwind 离他们“创造出一种服用LSD般的精神状态”这个目标最近的一次。这个版本较原版更为邪恶、霸气：我是宇宙的中心，宇宙能量为我充电，我是宇宙的创造者，这就是所有一切的意义。

5. Conrad Schnitzler - Meditation  19:40 (Rot, 1972)
说到鹰风，有个音乐家曾在访谈中说那是他的最爱。这个人就是 Conrad Schnitzler。他在采访中说:"I hate people. Seriously. I'm not a flower power guy." "But people i liked best were HAWKWIND." 他半开玩笑地说，他更愿意加入鹰风，而不是橘色梦。
这张 Rot 最早发行于1973年，有种70年代特有的润滑感，比如那种立体剪裁、金属银色的紧身科学服。个人认为是德国早期先锋/电子音乐作品中的精品。Meditation 充满了工业感和紧张感，危机四伏，并不是一次美好的冥想，但每次听的时候，总会发现新的声音和新的空间。

6. VagusNerve - Go back to the Sirius    19:10 (Go back to the Sirius, 2012)
最后一首，来自迷走神经2012年在美国 Utech 唱片发行的新专辑《回到天狼星》中的最后一首，也叫《回到天狼星》。空间、时间、生命、神。我并不在乎人类最后的归宿是西伯利亚还是天狼星，只愿这一生，是个迷幻、不单调、不愚蠢的 nice trip。


有没有这样的经历？熟睡的时候，一道光从窗外刺来，玻璃、窗帘、甚至梦，全都被划破了。你醒过来，发现自己动弹不得，只能看着那束光，眼球还能转动，看到那束光从窗外射进来。你住19层，那光却像是被人正对窗户摆了一台投影仪。你动不了，皮肤有种静电的麻，电视或者DVD机也开始闪着绿色的灯（它们可能根本没有电源指示灯，或者早就断电了）。你念阿弥陀佛，六字真言，金刚经，大悲咒，没一个管用。如果你是一个懂得out of body experience的人，也许你知道此刻应该轻轻滚动手腕，哪怕是在意念中，慢慢滚动手，然后是身体，然后像毛虫化茧成蝶那样，你就能从身体里出来，到窗边去看一看，是谁在影响你的睡眠。
喔～～～，是外星人。


一个梦
地球的未来是什么样？我曾在梦里见过。我坐着一辆破旧生锈的电梯去找日本偶像签名，长途旅行，电梯停下来，门打开，外面确是一片荒漠，只散落着一些已经腐坏的巨大油罐。一个人站在电梯旁，对我说：这就是未来。你看到了，现在你可以回去了，以后你还会再来的。
“最后一批人类消失在西伯利亚平原。人类文明到此结束。”


另一个梦
也是关于未来的。外星人入侵了，像《星球大战》那样。我们被反捆着手，走在早已没有汽车的高架路上，几十个人一组，每一组的头顶都有飞碟监视。世界是灰色的。我看到高架路下面，不断有一群群反抗的队伍，但都很快被激光射杀，或者被变成我们这样反捆着双手，被瞬间转移到高架路上，跟着前面的队伍走起来，也不知道要走到哪里去。
