Aegyptia is back, this time with label owner David Granha, completely renewed and with his "Weird Bass" track. The Weird Bass is a techno theme with a tech-house vibe, 909 percussions and of course an amazing bass line witch gives a name to the track. We have made you wait, but believe us, it worth it. One year after we leave our progressive roots probably to catch a less melodic stuff, even more harder that before. This is just the beginning., the beginning of a new era. Remix duties comes from Canadian Tim Penner, an artist which we love and a guy who has published on a large number of labels such as: Replug, microCastle, Konstrukt, Change Audio or Release. Without any doubt this is a trademark remix, classy and an enviable fx use. In the other hand brasillian DNYO have brought us a powerful dancing remix. A big bass line make this a track a top remix ready to be on an infinity of dj sets. A good reputation won trough big tracks and remixes to labels as microCastle, Flow Vinyl, Replug or his own Konstrukt was the reason why we have chosen him to make this second mix.

Next up on Crosstown Rebels is a release from one of the most long-standing and highly respected artists of the techno scene, the legendary Dave Angel.

Dave Angel has created a powerful and mesmerizing techno opus with ‘Revelation’, a track that unfolds as intensity increases. ‘Guru’’s techno infusion beholds a dreamy vocal, warm synths amidst a driving beat made for tireless dancefloors.

A part of the very fabric of the UK techno scene, Dave Angel’s status as an erudite for electronic culture is based upon the endless memories of those who have lived, loved and danced to the astonishing output of music he has created over the years. Born the son of a Jazz musician and brother to British hip-hop artist Monie Love, Dave’s path in music came to the fore during the 80s acid house scene in London

Dave’s weekly broadcast on pirate radio station Phaze One catapulted him into the spot light with notable publications like Mixmag, DJ Magazine and The Guardia. He has remixed Orbital, Sun Electric, Carl Cox, Juan Atkins, Spooky, James, Roni Size and Underworld and released on esteemed labels such as Polydor/Love, OuterRythum, Fnac, React Records, Island, R+S and Outrage as well as his own infamous Rotation records.

By the early 2000s, when much of the electronic world was chasing trance highs and vocal hooks, Moshic Shlomi—known mononymously as Moshic—was charting a darker path. His take on progressive house was not just brooding; it was cinematic, steeped in tension, mood, and layered melancholy.

Releasing early work as Argonout, Moshic made his mark with tracks on Cyber Records and appearances on compilations from Global Underground to In Search of Sunrise, showcasing a sound both atmospheric and emotionally rich. Now leading his own label, Contrast, he continues to explore the space between light and shadow, with recent productions finding a home on imprints like Bedrock and Bonzai Progressive.

His Balance Selections mix delivers on the promise of the label’s name: a carefully curated journey of contrasts that never loses its introspective core. Featuring tracks from N-TCHBL, Stereo Underground, and Moshic himself, the mix isn’t afraid to drift into the melancholic edges of progressive house.
