We are ready for some more brilliance as we this week see the return of New York bound producer Tim Robert. As a factor in the music industry for a long time, he now delivers another original to the market, baptized as “Supergravity”. This is a truly chunky and majestic piece of progressive music that oozes energy, drive and a great atmosphere that is built through sparkling pads and melodic part giving it the feels. We are as happy as ever to bring back the sound design from Tim. 

We can also add 2 brilliant remixes for the release, as we see Greece very own Futur-E making a welcome return to PHW Elements. With releases in the past through major imprints such as Tulipa Recordings, Traum Schallplatten, Manual Music, Tenampa and many many more we no see him back with us. This is a straight out knockout from start to finish as we see a crisp sounding and energetic progressive track being built. With his immense talent to build that hypnotizing grooves and energy, he once again delivers in full fale and we are super excited to see him join back with us on PHW Elements.

We also see one of our most frequent artists, as Argentinas Axel Bray joins back once again with his alias of Partenaire. He delivers in fine style as always, with a more mellow and atmospheric rework that is building up a smooth and nice atmosphere to keep the hypnotic feel. It is always a pleasure having Axel with us, as he is building his reputation up through hs clever sound design.

As featured in Benjamin Mattingly’s celebrated, full length film ‘Electric Heart’, Adnan Jakubovic’s ‘Afraid of Happiness’ now sees its official single release through Suffused Music. Originally a standout on the label’s ‘Initializing’ Vol. V collection from May of 2015 it showcased the Bosnian born, Germany based artist at his creative best with it’s tough yet spacey, deeply emotional narrative. Much hype and critical acclaim have surrounded the composition since being showcased in the film’s stylish soundtrack last year. Now as 2018 begins to unfold Suffused Music presents two equally anticipated remixes from Tim Robert and Alinep. 

USA based artist Tim Robert has become loved throughout the progressive underground for his old school sound. Looking to break out in 2018 Tim now presents one of his all time best remixes, taking ‘Afraid of Happiness’ into dark and driving territory. The toughness of the original is well maintained, complemented with a warm, fluid foundation and spacey effects. It’s most astral qualities feature heavily in the break, with a cosmic storyboard which borders on the surreal, before a smooth energy bridge carries perfectly into a stunning third act finale.

The second and final interpretation is provided by Alinep who is making his label debut. Born and raised in Manilla, Ali Nepomuceno aka Alinep has a meticulous discography, highlighted by releases on Tenampa Recordings and Rezongar Music. His Suffused Music debut does not disappoint as he brings a more stripped back, techno inspired approach to ‘Afraid of Happiness’. Conveying the toughness of the original nicely, it’s robust framework is complemented with clustered claps, chugging rhythms and fiery electronics. Split up by two timely breaks a ghostly vocal narrative adds depth and mystery upon setting up an invigorating finale. It rounds out what is undoubtedly one of Suffused Music’s most talked about and highly anticipated projects to date. Don’t miss it.

New York City’s Tim Robert is driven to create music that is rich with creativity and emotional depth and to bring compelling DJ/vocal performances to live audiences. Originally a rock guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, Tim’s bands released albums and toured the U.S. in the early 90s; he then wrote music and lyrics for rock theater in the late 90s and early 2000s. Throughout his early musical career, Tim held a great love for synthetic textures. Then he heard Sasha and Digweed at the legendary NYC club Twilo. Inspired by the immense sonic adventurousness and emotional power of electronic dance music, Tim ultimately turned to producing and DJing. Tim’s productions are now gaining the attention of the international underground scene, and with several of Tim's releases featuring his own vocals, he is beginning to sing live at his club shows. Tim has performed in the U.S. and internationally, and he has had the good fortune to share bills with top-tier artists such as Hernán Cattáneo, Cid Inc, Guy Mantzur and Marcelo Vasami. With a strong drive to move ever forward, Tim will continue his quest to bring inspiration and innovation into his own unique style of electronic music.
