Tijn Driessen's forthcoming EP "Schijn" is his solo debut for a worldwide audience. Set to break through the noise with a terrific balance of acoustics and electronics, he finds thàt range of frequencies that drape over you like a snug blanket. Just like a welcome breeze of fresh air making its way under covers that are just too warm. 

The piano clearly characterises his music, yet he found a gracious way of implementing the sound and nature of the instrument with influences he experienced in Belgian nightlife. The result is Schijn, a comforting soundtrack with a definite sense of belonging - just like you'd expect - in a family.

While paradise-colored birds chirp from the trees and the moss-green lianas rustle to the beat of the wind, our boat glides gently down on the waves of the river. The symphony of the jungle enchants us with its very own harmony, chaotic and yet perfectly in tune.

Suddenly a pair of shining eyes piles up in the shallows of the water, followed by a monumental mouth full of crooked, grinning teeth. Amazed and curious, we recognize the silhouette of a hippopotamus that, with wobbling ears, tells us to follow its path.

Fascinated by the wild power of nature, we lag behind our new friend, while we hear a soothing sound from the distance, accompanied by a tremendous shaking of the earth.

As we slowly get closer to the scenery, we can hardly believe our eyes: an entire horde of hippos wiggles their hips up and down to the mesmerizing sound of a trumpet. Moved by this sight, we thank our friend and let ourselves carry away by the music.

The story above describes quite well the feelings we had in mind, while we first listened to the two tracks of the sympathetic swiss duo okuma. It was clear to us, that an EP had to be the result of this experience.

Moon’s Voyager, JPattersson, Kermesse and Kusht complement this tale with their beautiful interpretations. We want to thank all artists involved in this great release as well as Kilian Van de Water for the refreshing artwork and Haunted Water for the smooth mastering.

Infinitely happy and proud to share our first release as Duddha & Mâhfoud!

The Portuguese sun has gifted us the beautiful moments of inspiration and after we had shown the track to many of our friends and family, we realized it was time to release it before the end of summer. Dedicated to @yambalisbon , Duddha wrote the lyrics about facing adversity and being reborn from the ashes, a quite symbolic image of the phoenix that promises rebirth in greater color and shape. Just as it is, things fall into place when you follow the inner compass. We decided to refuse to succumb to the needs of major labels and labels in general, because we don't like to be labeled anyway. Make music without borders, music is fucking sacred, it will guide you and you will find a way.
