In the heart of a city in the world bathed by the sea, where sun-kissed mornings roll into neon-lit nights, a young dreamer found his rhythm in the city's endless buzz. He wasn’t just a lover of music, he felt it in the pulse of every passing car and the murmur of conversations in crowded cafés. His journey to creating the Headspace EP was more than just about beats; it was about capturing the essence of love itself. One evening, while spinning records at a tucked-away rooftop party, he met her. As the stars peeked through the city haze, the two found themselves vibing to the same groove, the music weaving an invisible thread between them. They danced, talked, and dreamed until dawn painted the horizon.Inspired by their connection, he went to work. The first track “For the Lovers” is a celebration of serendipity and the joy of finding someone who moves to your rhythm. But love, as he discovered, is more than just fireworks; it’s also a steady, enduring warmth. From that realisation came “Strictly Love” a House anthem that radiates pure affection. Now, these two tracks make up the Headspace EP, a soulful journey released on Apparel Music, a label dedicated to spreading love through sound. Following the critical acclaim of their self-titled debut EP, praised by the likes of scene figures such as Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Beadle, Pat Steel or Shy One,
the Marseilles quartet Angles Morts is back with a four-track EP reflecting further growth in their sound.
Drawing on the idea of itinerancy inspired by their wanderings on the roads of southern France, the project showcases a stunning soundscape,
filled with the hypnotic textures provided by their arsenal of synths including Prophet Rev-2, Roland Alpha Juno 1, Emu-Orbit and Nord Lead A1.

Glowing, goofy and groovy, “Mame Note” showcases the band's savoir-faire in handling moods and nuances, all with hallucinatory playfulness.

We are again blessed with the sights and sounds of John Beltran’s and Shane Donnelly’s Sol Set project, with the music found within set to soundtrack many a sunset meander and moonlight ponder for years to come….

Sol Set is a musical project with roots lasting back over 20 years, a space in which a number of supremely talented musicians have flocked to, with Beltran acting as the conduit for the collective’s output. Based in Detroit, Sol Set has its sights set all over, drawing influence from a number of eras, scenes and styles, with a particular affection for Brazilian funk and soul - with twists and turns thrown in along the way for good measure. The result is a body of work that expresses joy from all facets, providing sublime atmospheres and tones for listeners to loose themselves within, a captivating and absorbing sound that is carried by the highest levels of musicianship. Following the collective’s debut on ‘Earth Volume 4’ back in 2000, a long hiatus eventually bought ‘Ola de Novo’ to the fore in 2022, with a highly successful remix record following shortly after, with both records highlighting the fantastic musical chemistry and depth of ambition found within that have come to define the collective. Their universe is one of such captivating scale, an audial delicacy that can be enjoyed time and time again.
