Some times the music just magically comes out, and that is the case here with "Syria" by new Sol*Selectas artist Unders from Amsterdam. After several successful tunes above the 120 BPM mark on labels like Sincopat and Groove On, "Syria" was Unders' first attempt at slower grooves, and an accidental experiment that just "fell into place, and was automatic magic". Syria's current political unrest is all over the news and social media, and the story being painted is difficult to watch. Driven to create a song which goes against all the negative publicity, Unders says "between all the negativity, the more i looked into the situation, the country, its people and its culture, the more this track reminded me of so much beauty the media doesn’t portray." The song itself a slow minimal trip with chopped up guitar licks, a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands, and features the vocals of Veerle. Satori is yet another up and coming producer from the Netherlands, gaining instant recognition sharing the stage and studio with Acid Pauli, and producing incredible tunes utilizing live instruments played by himself, and tastefully incorporating these with electronic elements. His remix preserves the original message of "Syria" lowering the BPM to an even more hypnotic 104 BPMs. Satori adds middle eastern strings and chords, swapping out the original vocal for a more Saharan inspired call, and even plays delicately with some acid sounds furthering the listeners journey. 
Both songs are meant to invoke peaceful images of Syria, and conjure up positive intention on the dance floor. Sol*Selectas is very excited to present the debut song "Syria" from Unders, and the amazing remix by Satori, two artists from the Netherlands you would do well to keep your eyes and ears open to in 2016.

Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Sol Selectas is excited to welcome Kora to the label with his debut 2 track release the "Caddo EP". The title Caddo is inspired by the confederacy of several Southeastern Native American tribes, and the music brings us to a late night ceremony. All the members of the tribe are united and chant together, and through the native drums we feel the strength of their gathering.

Wahiba - co-produced by Nic Falardeau, is the story of a lone nomad wandering the desert, confronting his fears, and overcoming them with his inner spirit. The faith in his heart guides him along his path. Powel is well known for his soothing deep productions, and appears here on Sol Selectas for his second remix. He brings the Wahiba pilgrimage to even further regions of the sand dunes, blissfully carrying us into the morning sunrise with his unique and patient approach to rhythm.

The artwork by Helia Jamali fuses these two spiritual journeys together into one, visualizing the native's eternal quest under a dim moonlit sky, warmed by the fires of tribal unity.

Danish artist Be Svendsen combines once more with the Crosstown Rebels crew, following on from his emphatic NU 'Man O To' remix, which landed in late February. The latest collaboration comes in the form of the new 'Twilight in Tankwa' EP, it comes with two original cuts as well as a remix from Berlin native Nico Stojan. Lasse Bruhn Svendsen ,as he's known to his friends and family, has been a proponent of refreshing electronic music since his emergence in 2014 and the work he started continues with yet another special record. The title track is a slow-winding groover that's coated with intricate melodic touches, while an engrossing atmosphere rotates around a punchy drum ensemble.
