¡Hola, como estas! haha I know, I know- it's definitely been some time since my last release, but this should let you know I haven't forgotten about YOU, and that I appreciate your patience. FOREAL.

I typically do NOT unofficially remix another artists' work (let alone remix another remix) unless I'm feelin' it THAT much- but in this case, the vibe was right and I really enjoyed Eric Bellinger's rendition, as well as the original record by Kent Jones. I honestly could not help but put everything else aside to create this. Another BIG reason for the remix (to the remix) is to showcase my ability to hang with a Top 40 songwriter- who is Eric Bellinger, and also a Top 40 artist such as Kent Jones; All while representing where I'm from #UTAH, which is who I dedicate this T-MiX to. All my #UTAHANS.

I'm very proud of where I reside as it is a big part of who I am as an artist. And I don't take pride in that just because I was raised here, but because it's also the most UNLIKELY of places for someone like me, a Hip-Hop/R&B songwriter and first generation #Polynesian-American, to be successful in the music industry. 

Anyway, the last time I did something like this was with Drake's "Girls Love Beyonce", and that record came out nearly 2 years ago! 2016 has been a much slower year for me, but the plan is to turn that around starting with this record. Eric Bellinger & Sione Toki - "Don't Mind" (T - MiX)

Wassup, wassup AGAiN, my people?! I’m sure you're surprised with how soon I’ve made it back, and in a good way too. Very stoked to bring this next record, as I am trying to rebuild momentum that was lost due to complex reasons- in other words, you don’t wanna hear about it, because it’s boring haha..

Instead, let me tell you the story about this specific song “10Fold”, which is kinda funny.. kinda. I wrote the song a little after I had written “#IJS (Keep it 100)” with #Makisi, which technically means that this record is over 2 years old- the lyrics are, to be more accurate. 

Long story short- “10Fold” was initially written and recorded to a #Harikiri production. I wasn’t feelin’ the final cut of the song, so I decided to sit on it- no release. Throughout the entirety of withholding the track, I tried manipulating it in every way I possibly could, but just couldn’t break the threshold of satisfaction. It lacked.. something, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Finally, after 2 years of believing that this record would NEVER surface, #MoMusiq swoops in to save it- like the super hero he is haha.

I sent Mo the stems to “10Fold" 6/30/2016. Mo Musiq sent THIS VERY VERSION to me on 7/16/2016! What took me over 2 years to get right, it took my dunny 17 DAYS! What’s even crazier is that the bro didn't even worked on this solely in that time. The boy is a phenom. Anywho, please enjoy the record, people! We do what we LOVE for who we LOVE, which is YOU.
